We had the good fortune of connecting with Zahmir and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zahmir, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I think just developing the drive to keep going. Nothing in music is linear. You’re gonna to have to pivot and take new paths but the thing is to keep going.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think my music is just authentic & relatable and just hard. I’ll talk my talk then I’ll have a song about heart break. I’m very versatile. Music is about making people feeling, and I feel people feel me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When I’m in Atl I love holiday bar and Nanas I think. And it’s some spot with some bomb grits and I can’t think of the name now but FYE!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My grandma. Grandma was everything. I’ve been doing music since I was a jit and even though grandma didn’t listen to rap she knew I was good. She supported me and always kept me going. My friends. It’s been many times I wanted to give up making music but they wasn’t going for it. Very appreciative for all of them.
