We had the good fortune of connecting with Young Promiss and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Young, how does your business help the community?
I can’t sum up why I know this, but I do. I know that I have had a social impact to my peers & others my entire life whether wanted or unwanted. Through playing years of team sports, church activities and my longtime love of life engagement in general. I know that I have always found my own identity to be interesting and mysterious to me at a young age. Being an above-average foster child took me for multiple positive and negative loops. I wasn’t afraid of being different like most people I knew. I also didn’t think too much of it unless when being bullied or demeaned at home. I kind of always hoped to find others more like me while younger than older, but it didn’t happen that way. I didn’t build. a grudge I just filled miming and heart with more things to learn about me and about life. It gave me a special connection with people, nature, my intuition and my already written life path.

As a child eager to grow, I loved school and found myself intrigued by history, methods, formulas so I ended up learning less and less about me and more and more of others and the world outside of me. I can’t say that it was technically a bad thing then, but it delayed some processes for me as I grew up. I’d say, not too many processes and not for too long, but definitely added delays to my push and life advancements. I was always a social impact type of kid, adolescent and even adult due to my beliefs and studied influencers like; sports legends, inventors, painters, poets, musicians, activists, and all impactful types of leaders before me. I have always believed in standing up versus falling or staying down. It is truly a major part of my moral code.

I built a bunch of emotional and spiritual super strengths based off of exactly who I am. I always seemed to mesh well with others outside of my home, and would find a fit in and around many ages, cultures, or creeds. It carried on all throughout my teens and adulthood. I noticed others growing up were not too comfortable with it as me, even most adults. I always since a shyness or fear from others wanting to be themselves full time and I didn’t know why. I knew my mysterious, ambitious and anxious self was what made me feel well in my own skin. I did not have a safe space at all that was physical so I made sure to obtain that through building, connecting and genuinely bonding with my friends.

Soaking up information at crazy experience speeds without much adult guidance gave me a different edge to my different world perspective. I became a person who learned a lot from being shown heavily what not to do, how not to live and how to not become successful. It took time and action to sort that all out. I found me, stayed me, grew with me and created many lanes to continue to #pushthru in. I have made sure to build a foundation of fully activated movements, mentalities and motions with music, art & entertainment. I use my LLC to inspire the inspired and the not so inspired the same. I am Work All Day, the brand, the cause and the effect and the impact because it does take work to win on repeat! I teach from real experience on levels most won’t. I teach focus, awareness, accountability, grit, grind, and ways to excel within your passions!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art and art expression come out of me in many forms. It is the only way I know to decompress daily, fully and healthy like. It has been this way long before anyone ever knew. I do know that I have always searched for to express my individualism and authentic self as I grew through life. I believe that sets me apart far from most today doing what I am doing both musically and professionally. It embeds confidence after the duration of decades using its power to drive self. I find, a lot of people have become suppressed in creative time and space. I have aimed my entire life to remain in control of it, no matter what it takes. It is not at all easy. I will never tell anyone that it is. Truthfully, it should not be easy because easy does not breed champions of life! For life!

I’ve had to make sure to meet and expect challenges as I grow through life. It is due to the cards I was dealt at birth. As I have gotten better at that, I have become more prepared and open to the solutions of life’s inevitable challenges. I have learned to only shift, entertain, heal, or adjust and adapt my mindset first in order to defeat any unwanted defeat that may come to me. Still, that is not easy. The process of creative arts and growing simultaneously should eventually work hand in hand. We have to be the captain of that ship that set sail when we arrived on earth. Many things will distract, deter or even dilute you and your visions. Our job as human beings is to find that new level of awareness every time it arrives. I take pride in doing that so that the energy absorbed and put back into it, is positive momentum based.

That is what I have learned from fully living for three decades plus. I have committed to being the better me at all times so that takes down times, pushing myself and staying true to my course. I love being who I am. I built my business and all of its many parts to help people do the same. The daily joy is the inspiration it provides full circle for every component of it. I overcome challenges by staying true to me and my craft, I overcome challenges daily by keeping a clear and conscious mind that wants the best for me and others.

I keep love, respect, and peace at the forefront of my mind and my goals. I want the world to know in order for me to be this way, I let those who do not believe in it attempt to devour and degrade me, only to get this far. I find the value in EVERYTHING! It takes time but highly recommend it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a long life refugee of sorts. Not by choice all in all but it became a thing for me. No family or physical guidance led me to see more of the world than I may have. The best time ever it usually the plan with anything coordinated or scheduled with me. I would have to create an itinerary specific to the visitor. Just like I hold conversations, I would make sure the interests and likes are highlighted. I do not hold many up close friendships due to the times we are in and the importance of my business aspirations, but I definitely can produce a great time!

The place I live in is not all the way what it is cracked up to be. I can still deliver a good time. I would have my visitor meet at the house and get comfortable and settle in. I would suggest my cooking first lol but as well suggest some good eats off the Las Vegas Strip too. Depending on the visitor, I would make sure we throw in some day time life here with possibly range shooting, foodie runs, high intensity theater shows, and if possible, take them on set or live with me for a ‘Young Promiss’ performance or Work All Day Records, LLC event hosting. it generally gets requested.

Truthfully, I am not fond of the state of Nevada at all. I have very valid reasons why, but still can make sure to enjoy a visit with a visitor at any time. I held many positions here as a certified security officer at many venues. My favorite spot drops are on point anywhere I go!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shout out to my genuine, consistent supporters all over the world because they believe in me like I do, and they have made me and my business global! That is a huge thing to do and supporters may not believe they matter much. I make it a focused aim to always give that credit and keep the engagement equal. I also, would like to give a shout out to Tori Ngatcha of Stonefire Management, who like, Marie Walden/BosseMom Entertainment have supported my entire return journey to music since 2020. I think they equally play a major role in the reason I am right where I am at today with my goals and accomplishments. I love these women and their natural fight for life, for them, for all that we believe in and do! Thank you sisters!
