Meet Yaqutullah Ibraheem | Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yaqutullah Ibraheem and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yaqutullah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process had to do with my goal and framework. I wanted to bring clarity, resources and support to women around nutrition and wellness. Prevention is key and my goal was to make nutrition services available to women as a key in the prevention of chronic disease. Where they have access to support and resources to help live healthier, happier more nourishing lives. That’s Nutrition Prescriptions’ goal.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m the founder and owner of Nutrition Prescriptions, LLC, a nutrition consulting practice that specializes in nutrition education and women’s wellness.
I enjoy freelance writing projects with
Halal Consumer, a nutrition-focused magazine from the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America.
I’ve developed curriculum materials for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Rutgers University
and the US Department of Veterans Affairs Whole Health for Life wellness program. My passion is providing nutrition education, resources and support as well as
developing recipes. I’m also co-author of Cultural Food Practices, 2
nd Edition, a publication
of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. As well as the Comprehensive Ramadan Reset
Guidebook, a preparation resource guide for those observing Ramadan annually.
With almost 2 decades of experience in dietetics and nutrition, I enjoy working with clients on
improving their health outcomes related to chronic disease management. I empower women with education, resources and support through interactive virtual group classes. and nutrition related business solutions.
My mission is to empower You to learn and apply evidence-based nutrition into every facet of your lives and to
understand the connection between faith, health and wellness.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would hit up The Flying Biscuit and Springgreens for breakfast. We would run with the South Fulton Running partners on Saturday morning and catch a Thursday night walk/run with the Atlanta Track Club and a Sunday run with Muslimahs Endure because the running community is awesome in Running City USA!!
Dinner would be Sufi’s, Rumi’s Kitchen and Zakia restaurant. We would get massages and go for a cool photoshoot with Crystal On Brand
We would go shopping in Little 5 points and of course a quick trip to the beach.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
