We had the good fortune of connecting with Xzavia Dobbs and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Xzavia, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe risk plays a major part an any career. Taking risk is what got me to where I am today. I believe without risk you are settling. You can’t expect to become successful at what you want to do without taking chances and being different. I remember a lot of times I was afraid to be different and take risk because I thought about what others would think of me, but once I got pass that they’re isn’t anything that I want to do that I won’t.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I like to look at myself a versatile creator. I do YouTube but my talent doesn’t just stop there. I do comedy skits and also some acting. What set me apart from others is my authenticity. I am genuinely me. I don’t portray to be no one else but me and a lot of my supporters love and support me for that. I am most proud of my growth. I had a lot going on with my mental and physical state a couple years back, but right now I’m super proud of how I’ve grown and who I am becoming. Nothing to do with success or money, for me this is personal growth and happiness within myself. I stop taking a lot of things personal and that what’s really got me to where I am today professionally. It does take time and its never easy but I believe if you work on yourself before anything else you will be good. Another major thing for me was thinking things happen over night. That toxic trait made me give up on a lot of things easily. Knowing that things doesn’t happen over night just made me go even harder because now I look at it like if I’m here which I never thought ill be imagine where I’ll be in 5 or 10 more years.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First and for most we would have to hit up any Waffle House or pancake house in the city, after that maybe a little bit afternoon we would have to hit up a day party maybe Cooper cove and grab some lunch and smoke some hookah. After lunch we would do some activities like top golf, bowling, skating, Georgia aquarium, trap museum, Atlanta botanical garden, six flags or take a walk in centennial park. Than of course at night we would hit up some of the major dance clubs in the city like my favorite is where ever my home girl/ favorite bartender @lipstick is at. p.s she make the best hookah I had so far in Atlanta
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wanna give a major shoutout to my fiancé BIGHOMIEBLOCKS & my beautiful daughter ZENDAYAH. Without these two idk where I’ll be right now. Before Bighomieblocks came into my life I felt alone and miserable. He plays a major role in my success thus far. We been through so much in the nine years we been together and he always had my back and stayed down. Without our first daughter Zendayah I know I would’ve gave up on a bunch of stuff, but because of her I don’t. When I look at her I look at so much more for us. Also big shoutout to the HALLO FAMILY & HALLO GANG. I love how I can impact and make a differences in their lives like they do mines.
