We had the good fortune of connecting with Xsante Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Xsante, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create a platform where I could control all aspects of the seller-to-consumer experience. In the past, I used such platforms as eBay, StockX, etc.) to sell my items, however, they were plagued with high fees and other unnecessary charges in my opinion. In return, I would have to sell my products at a higher price point to receive a decent profit. With Xsante’s Closet, I’m able to control fees, shipping costs and other charges. This leverage allows me to give the customer the best possible price for the items I have in stock. My goal is to give my customers a great price for the vintage and new apparel they desire.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Xsante’s Closet is a place where you can find Vinatage/ New kicks and apparel for great prices. I’ve been a consumer in this lane since I was in high school. I was always complimented on my gear throughout my college years. Even in college I resold clothing and sneakers, but never on my own terms. For example I used eBay amongst other platforms to sell my apparel. The “middle man” was always a hassle and came with unnecessary fees. That drove me to create my own platform to by sell and trade. It was always a though of mine, but acquiring my LLC late 2020 really forced me to get the ball rolling with my business.
I started with 80 items out of my personal closet. I was officially open for business early December 2021. Since then, I’ve been a vendor a several conventions and have sold over 350 items in 2022 alone. This small in the eyes of some. But this is just the beginning. The second half of 2022 I will apply what I learned so far and hopefiully double in sales.
The support I receive(d) from other vendors and sellers has been incredible. I assumed this industry would be cutthroat and competitive. However, through social media, other pages/ businesses would send me flyers about conventions to attend, Kicks and apparel to keep an eye out for, and some of them have purchased products from my website to use on their platform. This has been inspiring to me.
I believe the world should know that when you shop with Xsante’s Closet, you’ll be recieving quality items at a great price.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta has so many dope spots to choose from. I love sporting events so catching a Braves or Hawks games would be at the top of the list. The High Museum would be a cool and inexpensive experice as well. Little Five Points is an area that can fulfill your shopping needs and also have great spots to eat. Centennial Olympic park is a great place for a picnic or for working out. Lastly, Stone Mountain is great for hiking. Entertainment, shopping, food and exercise would be a fufilling week for a visitor if you ask me.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Mother is a major part of my drive and mindset to acheive my goals. I can present any idea to her and she’s onboard. For me, something as small as “That’s a great idea!’ is that extra assurance I need to keep going. Support doesn’t have to be financial with me. Words of encouragement works just fine. That means the world to me.
My Freinds inspire me as well. Seeing them work hard is enough for me to kick my hustle up a notch. I love seeing my circle show and express passion for their hustle. Even if there isn’t any major financial success; I respect those around me for their effort. Just attempting to be great or having cool and innovative ideas is enough to inspire me.
