We had the good fortune of connecting with Xavier Julius and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Xavier, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to build a planform for local and rising creatives to showcase their talent. After having a successful first fashion show back in 2013 numerous creatives reached out to me and applauded me on what I was doing some even credited me for giving them that extra PUSH that they needed! It was then that I realized the need for more positive outlets like mine and also seeing the impact that it had on so many different type of people simply warmed my heart!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
With me doing so many different things my ultimate goal with them all is the EXPERIENCE and each year i get better at providing one like no other. Since understanding the impact that I can and have had in peoples lives I try hard to ensure that everyone feels welcomed, loved, understood & supported when working with me in any aspect and that is truly a major part that sets me aside from many entrepreneurs. I am super excited about my upcoming series that I am releasing soon, and also two other special events ill be having! There is a lot in store for my production company LX Productions & my online boutique Fashion LX so i just hope everyone is ready! Has this process been easy it surely hasn’t but i use every obstacle as fuel to go harder and every brick thrown I use to build my mansion! I learned in life it’s all about your mindset, how you respond to situations sent to disturb your peace & also your over all end goal I constantly ask myself “what’s my end goal in this?” also an obstacle is simply confirmation that im on the right path. Nothing comes easy in life you have to work hard stay focused and determined not matter what! I would like people to know that i am someone who’s for all people i want to see especially people who are just like me win because i understand the struggle first hand. Though we make it look easy this is truly a process!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my friends are in town we definitely have to get us some JJ’s and go to piedmont park some of my friends are also dancers so we definitely make it our business to take class. For some guaranteed good food and a good vibe I always make it my business to support my Uncles Juan & Gee Smalls establishments “Virgil’s Gullah Style Kitchen” & “Breakfast Boys”. I have yet to be disappointed. Now when it comes to the night life its literally always something going on. I know NKE events are for sure a lituation & also any events powered by my friend Carter are definitely memorable so I have my friends all over the city & they never wanna leave!
