We had the good fortune of connecting with WISDM and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi WISDM, why did you pursue a creative career?
Ever since a young kid, I was always interested in creating something, not just working throughout what has been already done. I always loved music and was a musical kid growing up, but I didn’t know i wanted to pursue music as a career until i was graduating high school. I just honestly can’t picture myself doing anything else, and the main reason is because through my creative efforts, I can bring joy to others and to myself. That’s the coolest thing in the world to me! Using my God given talents to give back to him and help craft the soundtrack to moments in peoples lives, whether through Producing or Engineering, just the ability to be able to contribute to something that can touch a person’s soul, that’s the reason! So I’m just incredibly grateful to be able to use my creativity in any capacity i can at this moment, and I am excited to see where it will take me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Producer and Engineer right here in Atlanta. I think one of the things that sets me apart (or that i strive to accomplish) is feel. When in comes to music I always want to focus on how something makes me feel. That sometimes means going outside of the norm or whats expected, and taking a risk with your art. But I always try to stay true to how something feels. That’s what i want WISDM to be synonymous with eventually. I want everything i touch to have soul and feel to it, because that’s the music that matters.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Don’t get out much but, I do Atlantic Station so much to do down there and a lot of dope picture spots. But in all of Atlanta i think Little Five Points is my favorite area, just has a really dope vibe to it.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to God, and every single person who has helped me so far, from producing and engineering tips, internship opportunities to life lessons. It’s too many to mention all, but y’all know who you are!

Special shouts to Daniel John, Isreal Perez, DrummaWorld, Xeno, Reach Records, and Rich Productions Studios
