We had the good fortune of connecting with Vida and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vida, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Én Board Charcuterie is an extension of my holiday brand, DREAM Holiday, which is ultimately a “one stop shop” for all of your holiday needs. DREAM Holiday specializes in custom holiday décor for residences and businesses. Now with Én Board Charcuterie being an added service line, an extra, special, festive touch can be added to customers’ holiday orders, as well as for any given occasion year-round.

With that being said, Én Board Charcuterie allows me to further tap into my creative side and in a different way. DREAM Holiday is more artistic on a seasonal, home décor level. Én Board Charcuterie is artistic in the food category. However, what both brands have in common is that they both provide me the creative space to go through the journey of executing artistic visions, play with color palettes on blank canvases, and wow customers with the outcome of my final masterpieces.

I chose to pursue a creative path because over the years, I’ve recognized and accepted that when I continuously found myself in the position to be myself- my truest, most free, most passionate, and emphatic self is usually when I’m passionately expressing myself through words, rhythm, arts, and helping others. That’s also when I realized my purpose- and not just for myself, but for others too. My purpose is to be ME….FREELY and COMPLETELY, and that’s simply by being creative.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is that I’m relentless and resilient when it comes to carrying out my visions and dreams. Once I can see it, I won’t stop doing what it takes until I can see it fully executed into reality.

I am most proud of having Én Board Charcuterie as an extension service brand after having DREAM Holiday as my business successfully for 4 years now. I am excited about the upcoming collaborations, projects, and outlined business goals for both brands (stay tuned).

Being relentless and resilient is how I got to where I am today. Actually being relentless and resilient was easy, because it is naturally in my character, but going through the professional process of all that comes with being relentless and resilient was challenging. However, that comes with the territory of being an entrepreneur and either you already have that understanding and tenacity for it, or you don’t. If you don’t, then get out of the game and out of others’ way who do.

One main lesson I’ve learned along the way is that if you have a niche business or provide a certain product/service within a niche market, then you don’t have to have a HUGE following on social media platforms in order to be successful. People have gotten so conditioned to believing that the main way to be successful in business is to have a lot of followers- failing to realize that most followers may not even be your target audience. Some followers are just around to be in an audience, but not to be targeted. Recent statistics show that the average attention span of a follower on social media is between 1.7-2.5 seconds. All that to say, don’t be afraid to take your time, learn your clientele so you can target more of the same clientele, and continuously improve your product/service/business.

I want the world to know that I provide quality work in my services and that I’m excited to unveil more of what’s next to come.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The whole idea and development of Én Board Charcuterie is fully credited to the Accident Centers of Atlanta and South Fulton Regenerative Medicine.

I’m friends with the office staff there and it started as a fun joke that I took on as a challenge myself to make the best charcuterie board ever for one of the staff members, who considered themselves to be a charcuterie connoisseur and claimed to have had the best of the best charcuterie boards from all over the world. Low and behold, I won that challenge, which then raised a few eyebrows saying there was real talent present. The office staff requested more charcuterie boards for their office gatherings and became VERY supportive and a driving force behind helping me put out samples, getting the word out about my brand, and securing my first orders.

From then on, I’ve also had continuous support from my family and colleagues.

I also want to thank the Georgia Wedding Circle for always being so supportive and part of the driving force with marketing my brand. They believe in my talents and are always finding ways to include me in their networking events and social media marketing. That goes a long way and means a lot to me.
