We had the good fortune of connecting with Victorian Mcpherson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victorian, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risk has always been a major part of my life. Back in the days it was called being rebellious or doing things your own way. So if taking a risk meant marching to my own beat then I’ve been doing that since forever (giggles).

My move to Atlanta was a huge leap of faith or risk, I left my business, life in Florida and wanted to do something different and switch it up. Starting my Koffee company was a risk, I didn’t know everything I needed to know about the coffee industry except my love for coffee and me working at Starbucks for three years as a Barista, but I took a risk on myself, my ideas, my vision and launched Koffee and Grind and now we’re two years strong all because I believed in what was in my heart.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Outside of running a e-commerce store for Koffee and Grind. I am a Hairstylist and Salon manager at She’s Badd Hair Studio in Duluth Ga. I’ve been during hair for over 20 years and although I love during hair I can’t wait for the day I can open up the doors to my cafe and serve the community through my cafe and just create a safe place for women empowerment, a place to vibe, study groups for high school and college students and so much more.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My friends are always in town 😂.

I would take them to Cafe Intermezzo, then after that some art at the High Museum, stay in the midtown area and take some cute pictures.

Saturday night Reservations at Apt 4b that is definitely the night for the grown and sexy vibes because who doesn’t like to dress up and look cute while eating and listening to some dope music.

Of course we would have to get some sleep because as Sunday approaches we’re doing breakfast at the Breakfast Boys, then walk around Ponce city market and hit up there roof top and ride bikes around the park.

Only to rest and make it to Victory with my Bishop Marc L House because it’s no way your coming to ATLANTA and not coming to church… especially Victory Hunni

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Hands down the Lord, and of course my circle of friends for sure and family. I can say I’m jumping to the moon and somebody is going to say ok tell me more about the moon and the deets? My family will say the moon, are you sure? Well if God say it go on to the moon and take pictures lol. My social media friends, listen they believe in me and support anything I really love them for that.

I love that because I love hard and it feels good when you get the love and support back from your community and loved ones.

My mom although she isn’t with me any longer my mom always supported whatever I had going on from a youth. Her presence was support, that was more than enough.
