We had the good fortune of connecting with Vibes By Moolah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Moolah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process was originally was just following my dreams. I have a passion for arts and entertainment. I’m a musician, an orator, a Dj, an event curator, etc… So I wanted to create something that would allow me to explore all the different avenues in Entertainment & Media alike. As I got older I wanted to find a way how I can be an inspiration to my community and give back to others by informing people the different routes you can take while pursuing a career in entertainment.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started off learning music theory and playing different instruments such as, percussion instruments (including piano) and alto sax. I think being diverse in multiple genres and having an appreciation for different cultures adds to my sound. As of late I am proud of the composition I recently created for the Shea Moisture campaign “We Are Hair”. How I got to where I am now is from my faith in God and just staying resilient. I have a strong support system as well that help keep me sane so thats definitely a plus! One thing I learned along the way is to enjoy the road. The lessons and experiences are critical while finding your way through the dark. Stay patient, stay grounded and stick to your gameplan. I want the world to know that you can be a brand or an artist that has its own identity. Stay true to who you are and the reasons that you wanted to do what you wanted to do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First it would depend on what friends are coming lol. Nah but to be honest, ATL has so many hidden gems and cool neighborhoods to catch a vibe in. Somebody like myself I can find a good time anywhere amongst any kind of crowd. I like to be diverse. So its possible you might catch me at Copper Cove in Buckhead to watch the game and get a quick drink or we can be getting busy at Busy Bees over on MLK. I like Cigar Lounges myself so that would definitely have to be in the mix. Chicagos in Smyrna is a cool lil vibe. Cigar lounge and r&b music on one side, Hookah Lounge and Hip-Hop on the other. I think being uptown/Buckhead is most exciting for me because of the shoppes. Its plenty of places to check out though so don’t be confined to one area!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would dedicate my shoutout to God first and foremost. For allowing me to think with a sound mind and continuously blessing me with opportunities; sometimes through hardship. I accomplished a lot of great things over a span of four months that I am truly thankful for. I landed a production placement with Shea Moisture for a campaign they were running. Im positioning my artist in a better position for his career, and thats just the tip of the iceberg!
