We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Wells and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Veronica, how does your business help the community?
The Meals for All Program was created to provide nutritious and delicious meals to seniors and families living in motels, ensuring that everyone has access to healthy food regardless of their circumstances. This initiative, driven by our shared commitment to community well-being, combines the culinary expertise of Seared Pink with the outreach capabilities of Reaching Beyond Bars.

Our mission is to bring high-quality, balanced meals to those who need them the most. Through the Meals for All Program, we aim to:

Support Seniors: Provide wholesome meals to elderly individuals who may struggle with mobility or access to nutritious food.

Assist Families: Ensure families living in motels have reliable access to nutritious meals, helping to alleviate food insecurity and support their overall health.

Me and my team at Seared Pink have crafted meal plans that are not only healthy but also full of flavor, demonstrating that nutritious food can be both satisfying and enjoyable.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Hello, I’m Chef Pinky, and I’m excited to share my culinary journey with Shoutout Magazine. My love for food began early, leading me to a world-class culinary career. I honed my skills at fine dining establishments like Affairs to Remember, Twist, and St. Cecilia, under the guidance of renowned Chef Ford Fry.

My journey took a pivotal turn when I became the personal chef for The Piedmont at Buckhead, focusing on crafting healthy cuisines for clients with unique dietary needs, including allergies, Parkinson’s, and cancer. This role allowed me to combine my passion for food with my commitment to health and wellness.

What sets us apart is our dedication to personalized, nutritious meals that cater to specific health conditions. We take pride in educating clients on healthy cooking and seamlessly integrating wholesome foods into their lives. Our approach is holistic, focusing on the connection between food, health, and nutrition.

Our journey hasn’t been easy. Building a business from the ground up comes with its challenges, from sourcing the best ingredients to creating a brand that resonates with our values. One of the significant challenges was establishing a client base that trusts and appreciates our unique approach to healthy cuisine. We overcame these challenges through perseverance, continuous learning, and an unwavering commitment to quality and service.

I’m particularly proud of our community involvement. I’m actively engaged with the foster care agency Bloom Our Youth as a foster parent, and this personal commitment is reflected in our business ethos. We’ve also established strong connections with local suppliers, supported community events, and prioritized local hiring, creating a sense of community within our team.

The lessons I’ve learned along the way are invaluable. I’ve learned the importance of resilience, adaptability, and staying true to one’s values. It’s crucial to build a supportive network, both personally and professionally, and to remain committed to your mission, even in the face of adversity.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that we pour heart and soul into everything we do. Our mission is to create a lasting impact on our clients’ health and well-being through delicious, nutritious meals. We are here to be your trusted culinary partner on your wellness journey, and we look forward to sharing our expertise and love for food with you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For a week-long adventure in the Atlanta and Kennesaw area, I would start with a hearty Southern brunch at Flying Biscuit Cafe at Piedmont and a stroll through Piedmont Park. Dive into the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca-Cola, then explore the vibrant Atlanta BeltLine and enjoy rooftop drinks at SkyLounge. We must see the historical sights at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park and the Atlanta History Center, paired with soul food at Busy Bee Cafe and a night out at Colony Square. For a day trip, a cool hike at Kennesaw Mountain, after a nice breakfast at The Marietta Local, and unwind with dinner at Copeland’s of New Orleans.

Indulge in shopping at Lenox Square or people watch at Phipps Plaza, relax at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and savor modern Southern cuisine at South City Kitchen. We would also have a nice stroll at Stone Mountain Park, followed by classic eats at Cherokee Rose BBQ in Stone Mountain. We would finish off the week with fine dining at Staplehouse, bowling fun at The Painted Pin, and a serene farewell dinner at Canoe by the Chattahoochee River. This is indeed a great time!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
At Seared Pink, our journey and successes are deeply intertwined with the support and dedication of several remarkable individuals. We want to dedicate a special shoutout to:

1. KJ, my 15-year-old nephew, who is my right hand in the kitchen. His enthusiasm and hard work have been indispensable to our culinary creations.

2. My Mom, who has taken on the role of an incredible COO. Her wisdom, dedication, and unwavering support have been the backbone of our operations.

3. Che’ Renee, whose strong mentorship and friendship have been a guiding light. Her insights and encouragement have been instrumental in shaping our path.

To all of them and everyone who has been part of our journey, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. For more about our story and offerings, visit [www.searedpink.com](http://www.searedpink.com).
