We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Toscano de Leger and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Veronica, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
Throughout my career, I have learned that with perseverance and humility, there are no limits to what one can achieve!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love what I do ! Making a difference in people’s lives makes everyday a great day! What sets me apart from others is the passion and love with which I help my community in attending their needs. I feel that I am where I am today because I truly care about the needs of the people that I am working so hard for. Along the way, many people have seen my dedication and perseverance in helping others and because of their encouragement I have been able to achieve what I have. I have learned so many lessons since I began this journey, particularly about people’s perseverance, endurance and motivation. I love to listen to their stories of how they came here and how hard they have worked to be where they are, their humble origins and their love for the country they left behind, I would like the world to know that nothing has been easy but if you have passion for what you do, you will always achieve your goals. You have to believe in yourself!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When a friend comes to visit, the first place I take them is to Martin Luther King National Historical Park. I love to walk in Dr. Kings footsteps and hear his voice in the church. I love how with his passion he was such an instrument for social change. The Belt Line is a must to check out. I just love to walk and see the diversity of the city. Coca Cola and the Aquarium are, of course, great and unique places to visit and enjoy. We would dine at the many wonderful restaurants the City has to offer; Eclipse de Luna, Taqueria Jalisco, Superica at Krog Market, Rumi’s, and Mary Mac’s Tea Room, just to name few. For just hanging out, Piedmont Park, Ponce City Market and the surrounding areas are just wonderful!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to thank first GOD, my husband, my kids, my Mom and sister Graciela Toscano, for their love and encouragement and, of course, the people from the state of Guanajuato and the Goverment Of Guanajuato, Mexico for believing in me.
