We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Ashley-Reid and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Veronica, how do you define success?
I define success as the ability to living my daily life in a financially balanced and socially impactful way. To be successful is to be able to help myself and others within my community heal and grow.

What should our readers know about your business?

After 9.5 years of military service and struggling to transition to civilian life, I realized that harmonizing my journey of womanhood, marriage, mothering, and entrepreneurship required a vision and a village. I created Cultured Retreats by Autonomous Growth so that others could experience the peace and prosperity that comes from having a balance and mentally healthy daily life.

I help others grow their business and reclaim their freedom by clarifying goals, naming what’s slowing them down or holding them back all from the comfort of their homes or in a totally different environment or country. Change is hard and we understand and facilitate growth from where ever each client is in their journey.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start them out with a morning walk through Sweetwater Creek followed by an afternoon visiting through Atlanta culturally-filled hotspots like the Belt line, Little Five Points, and Edgewood. While in the downtown area we would have lunch at Slutty vegan and a little self-care at Iwi Fresh Spa. We would finish up with dinner at Judys Island Grill for the best Caribbean food in and around Atlanta.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my partner — Akeem Reid and my sister friend & mentor Akilah Richard.
