We had the good fortune of connecting with Venus Thurman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Venus, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My reason for creating my own business, was initially aspiring to be an entrepreneur and stay at home mother and having the freedom of working on my own schedule. It firstly began by me seeking a natural alternative to help with my son’s severe eczema. After months of researching and trying out expensive products, I decide to look into formulating my own natural products. After noticing the actual benefit these products had and receiving positive feedback from others, this began my online skincare store.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the owner of VS Natural Skin Care. I strive to provide my customers with only products that contain all natural, skin replenishing ingredients. I make all products in small batches to produce the highest quality possible and ensure freshness. My business isn’t only about selling products but also ensuring that each and every customer gets the best possible customer service, whether it’s me answering any questions they may have, to checking orders and reaching out to each customer to make sure they received their products in a timely and efficient manner. At VS, we care about what our customers put onto their skin and maintain honesty with all of our products. Not only do I own a small business but I am also a user generated content(UGC) creator. A UGC creator specializes in creating engaging and rellatable content to help businesses/brands scale their sales.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend coming to visit, I think that I would definitely take them for a few outings here in Atlanta. I have had some wonderful and fun experiences with my family at quite a few places. Firstly, we’d check out the beautiful Atlanta Botanical Gardens and walk their trails, viewing their beautifully sculpted plants and trees. Then, we’d go out to one of my favorite restaurants here in the area named “STK”. We could also walk the Atlanta Beltline that I have yet to get to experience, but would certainly enjoy doing so. There are just so many fun and memorable places to experience here in Atlanta, it makes it so hard to choose.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My initial inspiration came from my husband, honestly. Seeing him as an entrepreneur, creating a business and his genuine interactions with others was truly inspiring. Without the support of him and the continued love and encouragement from my followers, I wouldn’t be as confident as I have been in my business.
