Meet Ty’shanna Hayes | Actress & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ty’shanna Hayes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ty’shanna, what inspires you?
The most valuable form of inspiration will come from the experiences that traumatized us the most. I’m mostly inspired by the mistakes I made on my journey, the hard times, and individuals who show us what true success can feel and look like. I’m honored that my mistakes were able to push me into a better version of myself. I’m thankful for the hard times that pushed me to keep going, and I look up to those who paved the way for such a time as this. True success is the type of success that was so hard at reach that you thought you would never make it. The people who share those stories and the most transparent way possible are the people that inspire me the most. They teach me that you don’t have to have it all together for it all to work out. You just have to have a passion and drive to give it a try and never give up. They show me that even broken people can win! They are the true inspiration!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
By the time I was in the fifth grade, I already had a vision of what I anticipated my life to look like. I knew exactly what I wanted to do 10 years out. Acting has always been a passion of mine, and motivational speaking was always something that gave me purpose. I’ve had the opportunity to work on major sets like Stranger Things as a Stand-in and background and I’ve done a couple short films. This is only the beginning of my film career. I’m from a very small town where your dreams will never be a reality because gun violence will take you out before the age of 25. So even the small things I count them as huge blessings. Being able to do what you love is a blessing, period! I recently joined the TikTok family where I take my motivational speaking to another level. That is where I created my brand, The Vessel Brand. The Vessel Brand is a brand for spiritual influencers. A brand for any and everyone who spiritually motivates others. Our motto is, ” I’m just the vessel.” This motto puts Christ at the head of this brand indicating that we are nothing without him. Our mission is to impact, influence, and motivate individuals nationwide and give them light in dark spaces through apparel, ministry, and media. The impact that this brand has been able to make so far has been incredible!! We raised money to help the homeless stay warm back in february, and I plan to continue to do as much as I can for the homeless here in Atlanta. You can find us on Instagram @The_vesselbrand.
I come from a family where only about 2 of us graduated college. That is what sets me apart, my mindset, my passion, my ambition. Those are a few of the things that even helped me get to where I am today, but the journey has not been easy. I remember when I first moved to Atlanta, I was 20 years old all alone with nothing but a dream and a degree. I stayed in hotels for months, bank accounts below zero, working two jobs and filming on my days off. I worked hard, and I still work hard because hard work pays off!! and that is how I overcame the challenges, I keep telling myself that it will all be worth it. The best thing that you can ever have is self motivation! That’s one of the biggest lessons I learned. You have to be your biggest fan, because sometimes you are all YOU got.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite spots in the city would have to be Atlantic Station. Everything is there, literally! I love to eat so of course we would head to Hob Nob for burgers and tacos. There are so many other amazing food places, shopping spots, and even a movie theatre!! Love it there. The aquarium is also another must go to attraction, the dolphin show there is to die for!! Atlanta is full of exciting places, we even have a Van Gogh Exhibition. It was a mind blowing experience. I can’t wait to explore the city even more.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
When I look around at the amount of success that has taken place in my life I’m instantly reminded of Sarah Jakes Roberts. She has been my mentor, my encouragement, and my support over the past few years. It is her experiences that have and will continue to help young and older women all over the world. It has been countless times where I felt like I did not belong and it was her who helped me find a place in the world. She showed me that my story is important and that my mistakes are beautiful. She helped me find a navigation system for the trials to come, and for her I am thankful! The image of which she aims to live as motivates me to evolve as a women.
