We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyreesha Parker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyreesha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Since childhood, I always envisioned the day where I would have a business of my own. Not necessarily knowing what I wanted to open, or how, the idea for my business finally struck me when I found alternative methods to battle my anxiety. The remedy I discovered, was herbal tea. It was a viola moment! Who knew that a hot cup of herbal tea could make so much of a difference. Then I also thought of how beneficial this could be for other people dealing with the same struggles. Thats when a light bulb went off. But how would I package it? What would I call it? Once I figured out the formula for my blends, I launched Aima and the rest is history.

What should our readers know about your business?
Herbal tea has been around for a very long time, however the way in which I present and blend my herbs is different. We meet the needs of our customers by providing flavorful teas that also has soothing qualities for those dealing with challenges. Additionally, we pair the tea blends with our tea stirrers (pops) that provide added sweetness and an added herbal kick. Our clients rave about our tea stirrers which was an idea that I was uncertain of initially, but it brings me great joy to see how popular they became.

Getting to where we are today was not easy at all. There are no shortcuts in business, you get out what you put into it. We work hard every day to create new blends and do tons of engagement to introduce our products to new clientele. One major lesson I’ve learned is that you can’t rush things, you have to trust the process. When I initially launched, I had many orders come in, and instantly became overwhelmed with fulfilling them, because I did not anticipate the level of support that I would get. Careful what you ask for! However, I learned quick how to create processes in my business, so that everything does not get chaotic. One thing I want the world to know about my brand is that tremendous care goes into creating our blends, more than making a profit, we want to make a difference, one cup of tea at a time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shoutout to my children, Aiden and Marley, who inspire me to never give up on my dreams since I know that they are watching. With the first two letters of both their names make up the name of my company. Ai-Ma
