We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyra Mitchell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyra, what’s your definition for success?
I define success as fulfilling my God given purpose and using it to help others. One of my personal quote’s is, “You haven’t truly lived until you begin to fulfill your purpose!” I am a firm believer that whatever God ordains he shall sustain. Here are some key points that helps to mold your success: . Believe . Vision (Plan of action/Goal) . Passionate . How you brand yourself, product,or services . Willingness . Set a deadline and execute it. Success is all about believing in yourself. If you can believe, then you can achieve. If you don’t believe in yourself then you have already failed. Your attitude should be optimistic. I remember being 13 year’s old saying I wanted to be an author. In 2017 I published my first my book titled Holiness for the Soul. Your success is also founded upon your vision. A vision is what you are hoping to accomplish through success. A vision helps you pursue dream or goals you put in place. Having a vision gives you something to hold on to despite having obstacles. It helps you to stay focus. This is your ultimate purpose for your success. You have to be passionate about your vision in order to achieve success. Having this confidence is what fuels you. You are going to be driven. For example when I was contacted by Voyage ATL and were asked to participate in writing on a panel of discussion questions I didn’t hesitate. Why because writing is what I am passionate about. I can do it effortlessly. If you’re not passionate about the task at hand it will be easy for you to loose track of your vision. Branding plays an important role in your success. Branding allows you to see how are you unique from your competitors. This is where you come up with a strategic plan. This will differentiate you in the market place. Remember every body is different however alot of products are similar. How you choose to deliver the product or service determines your clients. Success requires willingness! Willingness is define as the quality of state being prepared to do something. Faith without works is dead. I can believe in a vision but if I don’t put any work in then it’s just a thought. Willingness requires effort, time, and dedication. Willingness enables you to learn and create. Lastly you have to set a deadline to execute your plan. For entrepreneurship it is important to set a deadline no matter how big or small your goals are. Your deadlines should be strategic and set you up for success. It forces you to organize your task by priority. By doing this allows you to work on objectives that will push you closer to your goals.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Besides being an author and Evangelist I have my online boutique. It’s called TYRAS CLASSTIQUE LLC. It’s a newly online business I started up. I will define TYRAS CLASSTIQUE LLC as classy yet stylish. What sets me apart because it consists of mostly my work and ideas. I sale handmade jewelry and my own t-shirt designs. When you make your own products it requires more sacrifice, hands on and time. It has been hard to do this working a full time job. Businesswise I got here because it all started with a vision. At the time I was working for a restaurant inside of the Walmart. I used to go the arts and crafts section thinking if ladies can do Paparazzi Jewelry it will be more fun making it myself. So that’s what I did. My most difficult challenge is trying to find balance between working and making sure my company thrives. Some other challenges has been how I wanted to brand my company. Things like how I want to package my handmade jewelry. Or just simply setting up inventory to my website. What I want people to know about my brand and story is that your success starts with first a vision and willingness. I’m already known as a fashionista. So why not turn it to a career. Have fun with it. I want to make things that are fashionable but will inspire you at the same time. This is what TYRAS CLASSTIQUE LLC is all about.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well Atlanta is an interesting city where it’s always something to do. If I were to recommend a spot to eat it will be John’s Fine Food. They have the best soul food ever. Great southern cooking cabbages, dressing, yams BBQ ribs and more. Some interesting attractions include Atlanta Zoo, The GA Aquarium, Braves game and Hawks Game. The Martin Luther King center.

Other spots I would suggest to visit are Atlanta Botanical Garden, Atlanta Beltline, World of Coca-Cola, Ponce City Market, Atlanta Breakfast Club, Atlantic Buffet and Slutty Vegan.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I will like to thank my mother Felicia Johnson. She is my biggest supporter. She helped mold me in becoming the woman I am today. She is my prayer warrior. She encourages me to go on when sometimes I felt like throwing in the towel. I also will like thank my church United Fellowship of Churches Set Free Outreach Ministries Cheif Apostle Walter Mitchell and Overseer Robin Mitchell for their prayers and support. I will also like to thank my listening ear and pray warrior Apostle James Deas and Linda Deas of Simply Unique International Ministries. I also want to thank Bishop LaDamiun Raines and Jeffreia Raines of Shekinah Glory Everlasting Ministries for their prayers and words of encouragement.
