We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyese Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tyese, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I decided to start my podcast to bring awareness to the fact that the system is not designed to give the good fathers a fair fight. There are plenty of good fathers out here who want to be active and present in their children’s lives and for whatever reason they end up in the system and the system basically makes the father believe that they dont have rights, or they make it hard for the father to obtain rights.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The Fathers Ain’t Podcast was my way of representing the underdog, what sets me apart from others is that i dont follow the trends or i dont say what people expect me to say. It can sometimes be challenging because im a female and people think that im just siding with the father but the reality of it is im on the side of whats right, since starting the podcast ive learned that everyone is going to have an opinion its ok so i just have to remember that not everyone is going to feel as strongly as i do about whats going on so instead of getting in my feelings about it i just take it on the chin because ultimately as long as i feel like im doing the right thing then its ok.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take them to Garden Parc for one of their brunches, i would also love for them to see the Van gough art exhibit ponce city market is a great place to see perimeter is one of my favorite malls, there is great scenery in east atlanta and last but not least they definitely have to check out Edgewood pizza
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
God, My children, and everyone who helped and encouraged me to start this podcast
