We had the good fortune of connecting with Troy Pryor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Troy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’m not waiting for anyone to give me a chance or permission.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My superpower is the ability to connect with people and connect people. Being able to speak the language as an actor and producer really helps in brokering deals. There are always challenges along the way but I believe there is a higher purpose to my work and the arts serve as a vehicle to achieve that. Staying committed to that purpose outweighs the challenges.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would hit up Harold’s Chicken,  Bankhead Fish, and Pappadeaux. Hoping to see a football game, check out the Legacy Center, Tyler Perry Studios, and The Gathering Spot.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family. I’m grateful to have seen strong community leaders my entire life and the transferable skills I’ve acquired have made the greatest difference on my path.
