We had the good fortune of connecting with Trejon Khalil and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trejon, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is one of the most important aspects in life and in any career path, not knowing what can happen, and yet you still pursue what you believe to be the best course of action is one of the toughest obstacles to overcome. In my career and personal life, taking risks plays a heavy factor into how I move and connect with others. From working with new clients, to collaborating with different musical acts, there will always be “pros” and “cons”. Yet, regardless of what fear I’ve felt, or anxiety of stepping out of your comfort zone, I take every step with conviction and honor, knowing that whatever I choose, I stand by it. You never know, the risk is probably what was needed most.

What should our readers know about your business?
We The Fellowship, LLC is a music management company founded by myself (Trejon Khalil) for independent artists who want to not only thrive in the industry, but also gain knowledge of the industry. Starting off with just two individuals, we are now 9 strong, and gradually building every day. What sets us apart? Easy, WTF actually cares about the artist AND the individual. WTF are hands on and attentive to all artists we work with, WTF teaches the artists the language of the music industry, bring specific strategies that caters to a specific artist(s) style, culture, region, etc.. WTF aren’t here simply to run you dry and leave you hanging, we are about the hustle, we are about progression, we are about creating the experience as an artist. You’ll have plenty of long nights, tough days, stressful weeks. Sometimes you want to give up, let is all go down the drain because the results don’t come as fast. None of this is easy, and you’re more likely to fail than succeed. That was initially discouraging for me, not knowing the industry, but to still have to accomplish the objectives was a heavy hump to overcome. Just stick to your guns, stand by your convictions, and be proud of whatever you produce. That’s how I’ve made it this far. I’ve learned to be patient, but to be ready for any and everything. Problems are a constant, I’ve learned that adapting to your situation and not stressing till the job is done is what has gotten me this far. Always have: a plan, a goal, and projections. Running a business isn’t all about faith and hope, its strategic movements and good timing. Simply, I want the world to know that I started from a place of procrastination, an extremely relaxed mindset, and a fear of moving forward….my team at WTF saved me from myself. Believe in yourself, surround yourself with people who believe in you and the dream you fight for. I promise you, it will change everything you thought you knew.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spots to eat are: Weeyums (Stone Mountain Village) Antico’s Pizza Highland Bakery Victory Sandwiches For a good drink: Marcel’s Little Trouble Vortex Really just anywhere in Midtown, Edgewood, Peachtree, or Buckhead are the best places to get a club scene ( there’s far too many to name lol) MJQ and Tongue & Groove specifically are a couple of my favorite spots.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give the greatest shoutouts to my back end team from We The Fellowship (Rene, Denzel, Matt, RobbieATL, CZRBeatz, Romario,) for always exceeding in accomplishing every task at hand, no matter how difficult, I know I couldn’t have done it without them. I’d love to give mad love to my artist(s): Justin KASE and Trvpbeez. You guys inspire me on a daily basis to make myself better, your growth and development has been my greatest achievement to date, and I’m so proud of what you both have created thus far. Lastly, I have to give a shoutout to my cousin Jessica Khalil. She supports me through every moment of my life, good or bad. She has always given me the guidance, love, empathy, and confidence to get me to believe that all is possible with hard work, dedication, diligence, and a strong sense of pride.
