We had the good fortune of connecting with Tre Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tre, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The initial idea behind creating this platform came about really organically and we never really took it serious until we accidentally recorded a conversation, played it back and laughed for 10 minutes straight. I can remember it in such a phantasmagorical way, in high school my friend group would all gather at one house just to sit around an oval dinner table and talk tales. Jovially one of my friends parents said we should record our conversations and make a podcast then that lead to one of the guys saying “BROCHILLIANS” and it stuck solely because of its uniqueness yet specificity to the group. We knew it had to representative of our personalities but at the same time push the envelope when it came to black pop culture. From knowing what values we wanted to stand on, bound together with our individual skills and undeniable chemistry we structured a format that grew into a space for culture to be created, grow and championed by us.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I graduated from Georgia State University with a film degree back in 2019 and since I’ve been honing my craft developing my storytelling skills through as many different mediums and platforms there are. My dream has always been to take an event or even perspective and turn it into a moment through a visual medium so my professional life looks like a lot of moving part supporting one big locomotive. That in my option is what sets me apart from others because I’m learning different skills that in different ways can propel me to where I’m trying to get. One part is the podcast, another part is lifestyle marketing, another part is screenwriting so there’s a plethora of outlets I enjoy. I can attribute where I am currently in my career to my relationships, developing genuine lasting relationships with people then getting into business generates a creative synergy that in my experience can turn into something dope.. Nothing worth it is ever easy and if that’s the perspective you bring what you create won’t be worth it. I think one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned from some mentors in my life is that knowing the perception of one’s self to other people is important when gaining perspective on how to move in any facet of life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My friends tell me that come visit me when they want to get away from reality and decompress. They know I’m the type that will have BBQ’s at my house, pool party’s, themed events like murder mystery parties, so we will have a weeks worth of that. We may hit the occasional Poor Calvin’s for brunch or maybe The Garden Room for a couple happy drinks but nothing to wild. I do love The battery, Top golf, and Stone Mountain is always and adventure and fitness.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
As far as the creation of and push of my platform, I’d say my partner and Co Host. His efforts as a business are vital. When it comes to support we always like to give our listeners their flowers because they are the main ones especially in the early days that were showing love and supporting the vision so I’d definitely shout out the supporters
