We had the good fortune of connecting with Tramel Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tramel, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
In truth I never truly was in the spotlight. I never felt the warmth of being seen out heard. That in a way built up so much yearning to express myself in other ways. My artistry and creative gave become outlets for my inner expression. Any story any feeling I want to tell can be done through my music. I have found a voice no one can silence.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
In my music there is always a story to hear. What sets my music apart from others is the relatable aspects of the stories I tell. It is stories of confidence love and sometimes heartbreak. To get where I am today takes a lot of marketing a lot of practice and shedding doubts which we all struggle with. It is never easy that only means you are working towards greatness. Lessons I’ve learned are everyone can’t go with you on your journey and that is ok and also your biggest supporters will probably be strangers that don’t know you. What I want people to know about my brand and story is that it is a genuine one built in authenticity.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well to start there is r&b Mondays at studio 54 it’s an amazing spot to hear some great music and open mic performances. Taco tuesdays and los parrilas amazing margaritas. Wed would have to be at cafe social house their entrees are to die for. Thursday there is top golf which is nice during the week too busy on weekends. Friday night midnight moon is a good place to have a drink and see a show. Saturday poor Calvin’s for brunch and walk to park. Sunday funday in midtown bar hopping and merriment
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Kiid_fro has been an amazing support system for me and my music he has pushed me to new heights and encouraged me to do the things that scare me. K $tarr has always been there to keep me out in the spotlight even when I didn’t want to do it myself. There are so many others who supported my brand but those two force me to be better. I love everyone who has helped mold me into who I am,
