We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracy Moss and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tracy, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
I have thought about quitting quite a few times lol. I would say I went to school for Criminal Justice so that’s what I’m going to do. However, every single time I would try someone would always reach out to me. They would ask for meals. I keep going because now, honestly I can’t see myself doing anything else. I get paid to do something that doesn’t even feel like work. Your gift will make room for you.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think what sets me apart from others is that I cook simple meals but I put so much time, love and research into my meals. It may be a meal you have had 100 times but the way I make it brings a total different experience. I got to where I am today by not giving up. By no means has it been easy but once I found my own lane everything has been progressing. A lesson that I have learned is you have to do what works for you. Have tunnel vision. I want the world to know that Preparaytions is something I am really passionate about. I hope to be a rich lady soon.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Urban Smoke for drinks and food. I love the Jerk Wings. When it’s not to hot I like going to the Zoo and Railroad park. STARDOME has some good entertainment on Mondays and when they have comedians in town. Ive heard trap and paint is also a good time. I’m a homebody most of the time lol.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Daddy. He would always tell me that I should cook. He would often say “people gotta eat” lol. He always tells me to step into my greatness.
