We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracy Cuevas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tracy, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am from Saginaw Michigan which is a small town and there was no opportunities or anyone to look up to for inspiration to allow me to model except from what I saw on tv, so moving to different cities in the United States meeting different people helped me prepare myself for now to finally plant myself in Georgia to be able to model fashions that I’m passionate about in this industry.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is creatively me, a body full of tattoos, naturally curly hair, thick waist, pretty face, proudly and confidently walking the runway, taking photo shoots, getting body painted, working in different climates of weather, traveling, spending little amounts of money to large amounts of money. Working independently is not easy at all because my success did not happen overnight. The challenges I had were starting off not making any money and some people have criticized me with little to no support which almost made me want to quit. The lessons that I have learned was to start taking modeling and acting classes to become a professional and I take this job serious, there are people always watching me so I did not stop. I also received positive feedback which gave me the motivation to continue because they saw themselves in me and I’m here to help anyone interested in helping themselves through me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A week long itinerary for me in Atlanta would be to visit in the historic museum, eat and drink at Escobar Tapas restaurant, swimming in a pool, walking the beltline, laughing at a comedy show, hit the gym for a few hours, site-seeing Centennial Park to ride the horse and carriage, dancing at a bar or lounge until 3am, Sip & Paint, shopping etc. the list goes on and on Atlanta has so many entertainment spots it’s just mind blowing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m dedicating and giving credit to photographers, models, designers, actors, comedians, directors etc. who have all worked with me, befriended me, motivated me, inspired me, teached me, talked to me, people who said no not this time, and myself for not giving up my dream to be who I am today.
