We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracey Aka “Traoshi “ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tracey, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I love creating something new and introducing it to the world. Things become blah & boring quickly for me, however being artistic I can change it …my pencil is my magic wand!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am TraOShi, (Tracey’s Own Shit) T-Tracey R-Real A-Artist, Author O-Owner S-Special H-Honest & Hard headed I-Interesting I’m a lil but of a rule breaker & enjoy doing things my own way. If I don’t like it, I will create it. My path was challenging, bad credit, ex felon & nicknamed “Trouble”. My attitude of not being a quitter or a punk pushed me to prosper. My favorite quote is “ Quitters never win & Winners NEVER QUIT”. All the lessons I learned along the way I was inspired to put in my book, “I wish MFKA would have told me…Avoiding Life’s Pitfalls #101”, which I’m most proud of. I want the world to know if u Change Ur Mind, U can Change Ur Life!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would eat breakfast at The Original Pancake house In Birmingham, Hudson Cafe, Jagged Fork, Toast, Cafe Muse. We would take boat rides on my boat all along the Detroit River & St.Clair Shores to different events. We would bar hop downtown, Royal Oak, Birmingham. We would visit ChurchHills, The Loft & Casa Cigar Bars late evenings. Visit downtown Ferndale for shops, lunch & food. We would relive our childhood & spend a day Cj Barrymore, Dave& Busters or Cedar Point. We would visit iconic places in Midtown, Ave of Fashion & Downtown Detroit.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout go to God (Faith) My 3 daughters (Strength) and strong people I have read about (Encouragement) J.Prince, Akon, Malcolm X.
