We had the good fortune of connecting with Tim Fether and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tim, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
My career has taught me several important lessons but I think the most important is resiliency.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have passion for what I do! Helping people find solutions to today’s healthcare crisis. Lack of transparency from the stakeholders of the industry makes it difficult for businesses and employees alike to navigate, understand and afford health insurance. Along the way I’ve learned that my business is very relationship driven and people want to do do business with people they know, like and trust. Resiliency has been key to my success.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Early in the week I would recommend catching a braves game at the battery or a concert at the Roxy and then grab a drink down at Truck in Tap located inside Ph’east. Brandon and Haley are super fun bartenders there and make incredible cocktails they also have tons of local brews on tap. During the week I would recommend Northside Tavern for cold brews, pool and local live music or Dark Horse Tavern for live band karaoke. Music venues that I love include the Fox theatre, the Tabernacle, and the Roxy, As far as food goes, metro Atlanta has amazing choices, some of my favorite places include: Lure, Chops Lobster bar, Casi Cielo, Landmark diner, Fox bros bbq, NFA burger in Dunwoody. I enjoy salsa dancing at Eclipse di Luna on Thursdays and a visit to Atlanta wouldn’t be complete without drinks and dancing at Johnny’s Hideaway on weekends.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have many Shoutouts but the book “Things that matter” by Joshua Becker, and my Mens small group from Northpoint Community Church have been great supporters and mentors.
