We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Oquendo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
Success for me is being able to beat the odds and being able to rise above circumstances that hinder growth and elevation. To be able to stop destructive patterns and create a healthy life for myself and my children and to make a positive impact in this world. Coming from a background that I come from I’d say what I’ve been able to achieve and accomplish in my life is quite worthy of being called success.
I endured abuse emotionally, mentally and physically as a child and I became a single mother at the age of eighteen. I worked at several jobs but landed my first corporate job at nineteen. After eighteen years of working and still struggling to make ends meet, I knew I needed to make a major change.
You know what they say if you want something different you must do something different. So, in 2018 at the age of thirty-seven, I left the state I was born and grew up in and left for New York. With only a suitcase and $4,000, it took me only a week and half to land a job as a Commercial Underwriter with one of the biggest investment firms in the world.
In a world where society deems college education as success, I had none, but I was able to leap out on faith and take risks and excel in my career. Within the second year in New York, I hit six figures and in my third year I doubled it.
In 2021 I yet again hit a turning point where I decided to leave New York and this time settle in the state of Georgia. I kept my job in New York and decided to work from home permanently since my office was still already shut down because of the 2020 covid pandemic. This was a blessing in disguise as I was able to take more time for myself and my family. During this time, I took several classes/courses and I graduated from Queen Afua’s holistic wellness institute as a Sacred Woman Ambassador of Wellness, and I also became a certified Life Purpose Transformation Coach. I started my own business and launched my website in 2022 where I offer coaching sessions and products to help aid in healing the mind, body and spirit.
I’ve been able to change my life in a short span of time by thought and action behind it. To be able to look back at where I came from and where I am now is for me a success story.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Authentically Tiffany was created in 2021. It started as a YouTube channel as a way for me to document my healing journey from trauma experienced as a child on a public platform. This was also created as a way for me to step out of my comfort zone and to release the fear of speaking out loud and in a public setting. I didn’t know the impact that it would have on people, nor did I know that I would get the positive feedback it received. I was prepared for the worse because it was what I was used to. I was shocked to find out it had the complete opposite effect. After months of videos and people reaching out to me about their own experiences and asking me for advice, I decided to go into business for myself and help those who are wanting to make a change within themselves so they can transform their lives and live a life of self-fulfillment and walk in their purpose. I bared my soul for everyone to see on video and held nothing back. I spoke my truth, held myself accountable for my ways and actions. I’m also honest with myself so I’m able to be honest with others and I stay true to myself no matter what. I created this business to help people be their most authentic self and live their most authentic life by teaching through my own experiences and wisdom that was gifted to me by my Creator. I intuitively advise and guide each individual according to what I feel, and by the foresight given which differentiates me from therapists and psychiatrists and that is what sets me apart from the rest.
It was a long road full of obstacles overcoming destructive patterns, procrastination, backsliding into past pain shedding a lot of tears and sleepless nights, but I’ve always stayed the course and worked hard for what I wanted in life. I learned that my only limitation is what I give myself. So, I affirm every day I am limitless.
I’m a woman who came from nothing and started with nothing. I don’t let my circumstances define me. I may fall a thousand times, but you can bet I will rise ten thousand times. My strength and determination are what drives my passion to uplift, inspire and elevate people around the world. I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason and I’m excited to be able to help people change and transform their lives by helping them work towards physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out all three of my daughters Mariah, Fallyn and Eden. They have been my biggest fans and supporters. When I left them in Texas to move to New York it was the hardest decision I ever made in my life. I told them I was leaving to try and make a better life for us and as soon as I do, I’m coming back for them and to be able to come through on that promise makes my heart full. Mariah my oldest helped me in ways while I was in New York that wasn’t even asked of her she is the most selfless person I know, and it was the first time I seen anyone believe in me and want the best for me and it came from my daughter. My two youngest daughters have been my biggest helpers with my new business with helping me handmake products and giving me loving words of encouragement. They are the reason why I go so hard; they push me to become a better woman, mother and teacher every day.

I also want to shout out my sister Lauren and her husband Ren. They both have done a lot and have been there for me when I needed them and for that I’m thankful and grateful to have them in my life.

I want to shout out Queen Afua. I ran across her book Sacred Woman A guide to healing the Feminine body, mind and spirit in the year 2019 and it has changed my life in ways I didn’t think would be possible. Her words of wisdom has played a major role in my healing journey and I credit her for helping me step out of comfort zones and become the woman I was meant to become.

Lastly I want to give a huge shout out to Dalle Garcia and her company Gold Crown Credit. She has gone above and beyond to help advise and share her expertise on credit building/funding and helping me get my company started. She is truly a gem and an amazing entrepreneur who I greatly admire!
