We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Gibson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
The most difficult decision in my life was learning to walk away from what I love and the people I loved whom was no longer traveling the path I I needed to go on in order for me to maintain a healthy and peaceful existence.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the Founder/CEO of Surviving Freedom, Inc. This organization was created after I personally experience a series of incarcerations, which I learned that rebuilding a shattered life can be significantly more difficult than retaining the normalcy that was once taken for granted. My experiences, which dramatically altered my life and subsequently transformed my thinking in productive manners, are fundamentally expressed in the service offerings of Surviving Freedom, Inc.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am an Atlanta native born and raised in the Swats. Everything that represents Atlanta I love from enjoying cuisines on Main Street in College Park (my home turf) to walking the Beltline. I believe in supporting my community. We can sit back and enjoy a cocktail at Toast, bowling in Atlantic Station or catching a movie at Phipps. There is always something to do in Atlanta, never a dull moment.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
People who decided to turn their failure into success. My family who never stopped believing in me and laying the foundation during my reentry back into society.
