We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Draper and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
My name is Tiffany Draper and I’m from Huntsville, AL. Growing up in my family I didn’t see a lot of business owners. My grandfather was a mechanic by trade and grandmother was a banker. I watched my mother clean buildings for a living as she was a janitor for 22 years.
I knew that I wanted to be different I just didn’t know what I was good at. I knew that I could make people laugh and that I was well liked so I decided to start ,y own business t help bring people together.
Today I own a Women’s Empowerment Organization and in 2019 I opened an event center named Studio 53.
During the highs and lows of my business it has caused me to be more humble and has been a great character builder.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a survivor of many things, I want to reach as many women in the world and encourage them to love themselves and never give up on their life or dreams.
I love people and I believe that God has called me to serve his people. Tea With Tiffany is a platform that I started to give women hope and to empower each other. I want you to love yourself and essentially be the best you that you can be.
I am a survivor of domestic violence, rape, and death. In December of 2018, I was on a ventilator in a coma for 3 days fighting a respiratory infection. God was really good to me and I survived and here today to tell you my story.
I am constantly striving everyday to be better than the person I was yesterday.
If you know me then you should already know that I am a very analytical person.
This comes with its advantages and disadvantages. I don’t strive for perfection, but I pay attention to detail. I’m a watcher I observe people. I enjoy it. I watch people move about their day, how they eat their foods, play with their children, pronounce words, how they dress, how they interact with other people and most importantly how they love. Watching other people helps me gather insight about the world and people that are around me. I am careful about the things that I do and say. I want to be remembered as a person who loved, a woman who believed, and most importantly as a person who gave. Giving to me is more than physical its the way you treat other people and the way you love.
My purpose in this life is to be the best me that I can possibly be and I’m passing that down to my boys as well. I’ve always heard…”be the change you wish to see”.
Today, I have about 3,500 women who follow me on my social media pages and I host events that are geared towards WOMEN and I am an encourager of self love.
“Life is changed by your example, not by your opinion”
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love Mexican so we would definitely have to hit up Rosie’s Mexican Cantina for taco’s and margaritas. Then we could hit up a few local eateries like Big John’s BBQ located in Harvest, AL. They have the best wings and desserts.
I love to travel and im looking forward to catching a flight to Los Angeles Very Soon
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank my significant other, owner of the Fade Factory Barbershop, Jai Coles
