We had the good fortune of connecting with Thomasina Ruth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Thomasina, how do you think about risk?
Taking risk has honestly been the most rewarding thing in my life. I think about how ive consider the Pros and Cons of weighing what I will gain or lose. In this case anything that I have lost in taking a risk was not mean’t to be apart of my destiny. Most people find “Risk Taking” much of a challenge because they are afraid of “failure”. In most cases “FEAR”. They fear the “What if things don’t go as I’ve planned,”? I’ve learned, It’s ok If things don’t work out. It’s not the end of The world. Risk-Taking helps you grow, be creative and helps you discover new opportunities. It has also helps you learn that failure is part of The process and doesn’t define who you truly are. Most importantly, Risk taking can also help you fulfill the authentic purpose God has for you.-
Taking risk is all a mindset. If you’re willing to take risks, believe in yourself, and have faith….”You will always win”. “You will always be successful” Your dreams will always become a reality”-
Choosing to take risk in life has made a positive impact on my dreams and goals since I was a little girl.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a full-time single mother…..raising 3 children, working two-part time jobs, while pursuing my career as a model and actor is much of a challenge but I wake up and do It everyday especially when I have three children watching me and who depends on me. A leader and role model that my children can look up too. Something or someone I never had growing up.
My life has not always been peaches and cream, but however when I took a risk of relocating From my home state Florida to the State of Georgia, My life changed for the better and I truly have not one regret! Had I not taken the risk to relocate, I wouldn’t be where I am in my career today! I was so tired of the repeated toxic environments that I knew if i didn’t choose to take a risk and make a change to better myself and children life that I was only “setting us up for failure”. I wanted change, So I made the change.
I am so proud to say “despite my obstacles in life” I keep the faith and continue to keep going. So proud of where I am today and how far I’ve come because life has not been easy but I am still blessed abundantly and alive! So excited to see what other doors God is about to open for me.
Something that I want the world to know about me: I’m a goal-digger, goal getter, goal hustler. I’m not stopping! My testimony will always be my motivation to keep moving forward.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love reggae music! One of my favorite spots here in Atlanta is Rocky Steady. Delicious food. And always good vibes. I Pretty much love to eat! Anywhere that has delicious healthy food. Even if it’s something I’ve never had, I don’t mind trying new things long as it’s healthy and taste good. Lol.
I love going anywhere where I can be myself. Overall, I love having fun. Living and enjoying life. Good energetic vibes!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Most importantly, major shoutout to God, without his grace and mercy, I wouldn’t have made it thus far.
Big shoutout to all the genuine and real supporters that have uplifted me, sent words of encouragement and who has supported me in any way since I began sharing my “Testimony”.-
To anyone who has ever given me the opportunity to place me in room where I can fulfill my dreams and goals in my career, I’m so grateful and thankful.
