Meet Thezachmichael | Music Producer & Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Thezachmichael and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi TheZachMichael, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Creativity has always been a part of me—it’s something I’ve chased for as long as I can remember. From an early age, I was drawn to expressing myself in different ways, always looking for new ways to bring ideas to life. It started with creative writing, where I’d craft stories and explore different narratives. Then, as I got older, I became fascinated with visual arts—photography, filming, and editing videos. I loved the process of capturing moments and piecing them together to tell a story.
But everything changed when I discovered music. Once I got into making music and producing, I knew I had found my true passion. It was the perfect blend of creativity and technical skill, allowing me to shape sounds and emotions in a way that nothing else ever had. Over time, I realized that I could do more than just create for fun—I could turn my creativity into something bigger, something sustainable. That’s when I started building businesses in music, finding ways to not only support my own artistry but also help others bring their visions to life.
Looking back, it’s clear that creativity has always been my driving force. No matter the medium, I’ve always been drawn to making something out of nothing, to telling stories, and to pushing boundaries. Music became the foundation for my career, but the journey started long before that. I’ve shaped my entire life around creativity, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is all about storytelling and emotion, whether it’s through songwriting, production, or the businesses I’ve built in music or outside that industry such as my premium clothing company Anderson Apparel. What sets me apart is my ability to be so consistent that it is impossible to ignore me. Whenever I get a chance in the music industry, I work as hard as I possibly can. I deliver single time I say I will and I make it my mission to provide as much value and music as possible.
One of the things I’m most proud of is turning my creativity into something bigger than just personal expression. I’ve been able to build businesses in music and contribute to records that have reached audiences worldwide. Seeing something I worked on resonate with people is an indescribable feeling. Additionally, I’ve been able to achieve my success without compromising on my morals or values.
Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. Like any creative path, there were times when things felt uncertain, when I questioned if I was doing the right thing, or when I had to push through challenges. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that persistence and adaptability are everything. There’s no single path to success, especially in a creative field—you have to be willing to evolve, take risks, and keep going even when it’s tough. When I was getting started in music, I was constantly looking for any educational resource, a YouTube video or an article, anything I could study and learn from. It was hard to learn much about the music industry when I was getting started, but now that I’ve had success in music, part of my mission is to provide more free to access educational resources for musicians. I’ve launched my podcast Creative Discipline With TheZachMichael and I release my own blogs that cover all the topics I wished I could’ve learned about when I was getting started. Education is a huge part of the next steps in my music career as I want to help the next generation of musicians.
At the core of everything I do is the belief that creativity has power. Whether it’s through my own music or the artists I work with, I want the world to know that anything is possible. My brand is about making an impact—helping others tell their stories, pushing creative boundaries, and building something meaningful in the process. I lead with strong morals and hope to inspire others to build toward their future dreams.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting Atlanta, the one thing I’d make sure they experience is the city’s incredible music history. Atlanta is a true hub for modern hip-hop music, and it’s not just a place where music is made—it’s a place where whole genres are born. The city has had an undeniable influence on hip hop, and as someone who produces in the genre, I’m inspired constantly by Atlanta’s musical legacy.
When you think of Atlanta, you can’t help but think of the artists who’ve shaped the sound of modern hip hop. Legends like Future, whose iconic “Dirty Sprite” series set the tone for trap music, and 21 Savage, who brought a unique storytelling style with haunting beats and raw lyricism. You can’t forget about Playboi Carti and his genre-defining, experimental approach to production, or Lil Baby and Gunna, who’ve helped bring the city’s sound to global audiences. And, of course, Young Thug, whose creativity has influenced countless artists.
Then there’s the Migos, who helped popularize the flow and style of trap that’s now everywhere in hip hop. Artists like Lil Yachty have added their own twist to the game, while Gucci Mane is a founding father of the Atlanta sound, paving the way for the current wave of talent. Behind the scenes, producers like Metro Boomin and Southside have crafted some of the most influential beats in hip hop. These guys created sounds that are now synonymous with success in the genre, and their influence is still felt today. They’ve also shown producers the importance of building your own brand and how to grow as a music producer.
What’s even more exciting is how the city continues to evolve musically. Atlanta isn’t just looking back at its legendary roots; it’s pushing forward with new, innovative sounds and rising stars. The city has fostered an environment where both established legends and up-and-coming artists can thrive, and the result is a dynamic, ever-changing musical landscape.
So if you’re visiting Atlanta, the music history alone is worth experiencing. It’s a place where the sound of hip hop was not just created—it was shaped. If you’re into music, or just want to understand how a city can shape a genre, Atlanta’s influence is something you need to witness firsthand.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! My grandparents definitely deserve a shoutout. My grandpa played the accordion at every holiday and birthday, and that was the first time I truly saw and felt how music could move people. It wasn’t just sound—it was emotion, connection, and storytelling all wrapped into one. That stuck with me and is a feeling I channel into the music I create.
My grandma was just as influential in a different way. She always supported my creative ventures when I was younger, no matter what form they took. When I was into writing, she helped me put together little “books” of my stories, encouraging me to take my creativity seriously even before I realized it myself. That kind of support meant everything.
Looking back, they were some of the first people to show me that creativity had value—that it was worth pursuing. Neither of them pursued their creativity professionally, but they always supported me in my creative endeavors. I owe a lot to them for planting those early seeds of inspiration.
