We had the good fortune of connecting with Theresa Bills and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Theresa, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to start this business because I had been in the healthcare field for about 16 years prior and I was very interested in natural health and wellness. At the time my mother was dealing with a tumor on her pituitary gland and we were looking at alternative treatments and herbs to optimize her health. I have also always been into beauty so in 2020 I added some non-invasive treatments to my business and to keep the holistic approach ,I make all the products that I use for my treatments.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I got where I am today by hard work dedication. It wasn’t easy. You know people go through a lot or ups and downs in their lives. Sometimes things get so tough that you start to wonder what direction to go in. I suggest that once you find your passion that you stick to it and never give up. Education and training is key and if there is something that sparks your interest then you should take a step out on faith and invest in yourself. I’m most proud of my natural products that I use on my clients and excited to make more of those products available for purchase. Everyone single person on this earth is beautiful in their own way and I enjoy helping people to be the best and healthiest version of theirselves. I want the world to know that my brand was named for a propose and the goal is to encourage everyone to fear less and love more.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to ponce city market, you can always find some good eats there and the roof top offers great views and fun activities. I also enjoy hanging out at the battery, the belt line and the Botica for brunch. I’m not much of a club person I really do enjoy outdoor activities, cooking and making natural juices and teas at home.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to Shoutout Aliz Adams a master cosmetologist for supporting through my business journey and helping me with all my events around Atlanta. I would also like to shoutout imodel beauty bar for providing me with a beautiful location where my clients can come and have their services done in a award winning beauty bar.
