We had the good fortune of connecting with THE LAST LYRICIST and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi THE LAST LYRICIST, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
When I became an artist I knew my mission was much bigger than just making music. I knew my mission was to help the world by making music that people can really relate to rather its emotionally, mentally, physically, or spiritually. My music helps people know that there not alone. When someone is say angry they listen to one of my songs and it helps them get into a better mood or make them feel that there not the only one going through whatever emotion there feeling at the time. I make songs that other artist fear to make but at the same time its songs that everybody is feeling at some point when there angry, sad, depressed, etc.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from other artist is the simple fact that im not scared to go aganist the grain, be my true self, and be different, be a black sheep. I never was the type to do what everybody else does I love just creating and creating new things. For this alone I’m proud of myself for having the courage to do all these things and to finally jump out of my comfort zone and get on that stage to do what I love. Its far from easy but through God anything is possible he gives me strength and courage to do this. Also, I learned that you can’t trust anybody especially in the music industry. This is why I always pray that God connects me with the right people.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely tell them to come to my showcases there always fun! They always say I do my thing when I get up there they say its like a mini concert. I would recommend pretty much any of the nice restaurants downtown or clubs there all fun and guarantee have a great time. I’ve been in Atlanta all my live and there never a dull moment when u go downtown.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to Thank God for helping me through my journey of becoming an artist.
