Meet Terri Copeland | Real Estate Wealth Advisor (Using Residential and Commercial Real Estate)

We had the good fortune of connecting with Terri Copeland and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Terri, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson I have learned in my business is how important following up/staying connected to clients is!! Over time I realized that 90% of my closings were referrals from past clients or repeat clients. The relationship changes during the transaction as we get to know each other; we become friends and like with all my friends, I like to stay in touch.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart is that I consider each client I work with as a relationship not a transaction! My intention is to be a industry resource for them.
I am proud of the work I have done in helping first generation/first time home buyers as well as helping other buyers purchase their dream/forever homes. Commercial real estate has been the ultimate tool that I have been able to use to really help with generational wealth. Identifying people/resources to help them to prepare to buy or lease real estate is a game changer and I feel blessed to help.
I have had a lot of support from peers I have met along the way that willing to share and support me. My journey in real estate has not always been easy. It is a cyclical industry, therefore, planning ahead for the valleys is extremely important.
The biggest lesson is to listen and read between the lines. The other is to always stay connected to industry peers to receive and give support.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the area and staying for the week, I would suggest a foot reflexology and/or massage (Treat Your Feet). Afterwards we would spend the evening relaxing, catching up and go to bed early afterward.
The next day I would prepare breakfast as a follow-up to the service we enjoyed the night before. We would , then head out to find small/unique businesses to support: (Brow and Beauty Room, Bella Bossy Boutique, etc.). I would check to see if there is a happy hour event at The Gathering Spot -Atlanta (I have a membership) so we could hang.
Day 3, we would visit the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and then head to Slutty Vegan’ s original location. We have to stand in line, people watch and have the whole experience unique to Slutty Vegan.
Day 4, I would decide on a day trip in Georgia (Helen, Georgia especially in October). It’s good to get out and see things outside of Atlanta.
Day 5, would include shopping in the city, but end with dinner at The Consulate Atlanta. It is my go to for a great dinner/drinks.
Day 6, would begin with breakfast at The Gathering Spot – Atlanta! Take a tour around the city and highlight Atlanta’s history.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to recognize the following female brokers that have made an impact on my career: Sharon Benjamin with training/support on how to start a team, Michele Velcheck for helping with creating my business structure.
I thank the leadership of Keller Williams Atlanta Midtown for allowing me to mentor and train new agents. My greatest reward was having a mentee receive rookie of the year award!
I am grateful to members of Empire Board of Realtist that have been supportive to my journey over the years. These relationships are helping me grow the commercial side of my business.
Another big shout out would be to all my clients that have always supported me and consistently sent me referrals. I feel blessed with every referral call received!
