Meet Terrell Monger | Relationship Coaches

We had the good fortune of connecting with Terrell Monger and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Terrell, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My wife and I started TNT WORLD as a means of inspiring the hope that is needed to truly love. Whether it is loving each other, loving what you do or rekindling a love for life itself. We went through a very difficult time in our marriage. It took us being one court date away form divorce to clearly see the struggles of day to day life and the cares of this world can literally choke the fruit out of you. That lack of love makes life so much harder.

The next thing you know, bitterness can enter your heart and change how you see the world. It’s not that the world “becomes” bad. It’s just that what’s coming out of your heart is what ends up causing issues in your life. We took our life lessons and became relationship coaches. It spawned books, stage plays, talks shows and one on one counseling. It is what we love and it is what we feel is our contribution to the world.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always been a creative. I think life experiences just pulled it out of me. I am reminded of the line from the Movie “Five Heartbeats” that said, “Donald Duck Matthew will be a great writer once he experiences more pain.” I feel like that’s what happened with me. When my wife and I experienced our lowest moments, it ended up making us learn to become 1. Our connection made my creativity more powerful. The books, the stage plays and everything we created seemed to touch people on a different level from that point on. It’s like our pain created a platform that is helping others heal.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, first they have to come by our church first.. LOL!!! One Accord International is our fuel, our motivation, our source of inspiration…. The teaching, the bonding the fellowship is awe inspiring!

From there maybe a trip to Perignons Restaurant on Winchester for some good soul food. Then they would have to stop by the One Glory Sports complex and kick it with the kids in the league. It is great hanging with them and hearing their stories. It’s great to pour into them and let them pour into us. The rest of the week is the grind. I feel closer to God when I’m creating so if we are hanging out a whole week and you don’t want to grind, I’m going to have to hand you off to someone else.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our ShoutOut is to “LIFE” itself. LOL! There is a saying that, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear” and that is what happened to us. Growing up we all have our paradigm shaped by our neighborhood, parents and family members. How we talk, how we act and how we think is developed in that growing phase. We end up thinking that is who we are but it is really only all we have learned “so far.”

There my wife and I were, two people that loved each other but lacked the skills to communicate and connect as we should because our two different worlds were in the way. We had to blow up our individual worlds and create a new one that worked for us. That’s TNT WORLD (Terrell and Tiffany’s World)
