Meet Terra Mahone | Terra’s Dream Baskets ” The Gift Basket Queen”

We had the good fortune of connecting with Terra Mahone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Terra, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
I know to keep going and not give up because giving up is not an option for me. The words can’t and failure is not apart of my vocabulary. As a mother, God and my kids are the reasons for me to keep going and striving every single day.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Terra’s Dream Baskets is more than gift baskets. I create gift baskets and custom gifts that you wil not find anywhere else. No two gift baskets will ever look the same because when I create a gift basket or a gift for someone it is created specifically for that person. I always find out details about the individuals I’m making baskets for. Being able to create a memorable experience for my customers makes me happy. It wasn’t easy starting my gift basket business and I still have challenges to this day. However, I take every challenge that I face and I use what I learn to make my business better. With Terra’s Dream Baskets I pride myself in being able to “Give the Gift of Love wrapped in a basket”!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was here to visit I would take them to Top Golf, Puttshack, The Steamhouse Lounge for awesome seafood and drinks. Chateau Elan, and so much more!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My inspiration for making gift baskets came from my Auntie Deborah. My auntie was a beast at making beautiful gift baskets! I mean her gift baskets were so beautiful you would not want to open them. I love the way she put love and took so much care into each and every gift basket she created. I used to watch and study how she organized and placed each item in the gift basket with so much care. So everytime I create a gift basket I make sure that I’m following in her foot steps because she definitely passed me the torch.

I want to also thank my wonderful mother Faith for always believing in me and encouraging me to keep going. My mother is my go to person if I need help or if I feel like I’m missing “something” from my gift baskets. My mother is very creative as well so I feel like I have the best of both worlds!

Last but not least I want to thank my family and my friends who have always pushed me to keep going or who has offered words of encouragement. My clients who trust me to create a gift of love wrapped in a basket! I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for my wonderful clients!
