Hi Terica, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process of starting my own business were the opportunity and freedom to pursue my passion and purpose. I love helping entrepreneurs by imparting education, leadership, and outstanding service with integrity. Also, I wanted to make sure entrepreneurs were educated on the right insurance coverage needed to keep their business properly covered. The mission of my business is building relationships and partnerships to provide personalized high quality insurance services to our customers with integrity, efficiency, and product knowledge.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Pearson Consulting Group is an insurance agency providing over 20 years of expertise and services to meet the insurance and financial needs for small and mid-sized businesses and individuals. We specialize in providing a comprehensive insurance plan to cover the major risks associated with a business or individual. We are most proud that our company still believes the foundation of a successful business is exceptional customer service, with being personable, knowledgeable and understanding. Our core values, diversity of services and products, and informational resources set us apart from others. I am most proud and excited about our chance to serve the community. Growing up in the inner city of Chicago, we were taught to serve. I love to serve every time there is an opportunity. Mentoring at risk teens, educating the community about insurance for understanding of insurance coverage and reason, and mentoring new insurance agents on helping grow their business. It wasn’t easy. There must be challenges for lessons and growth. I overcame those challenges by not losing faith, when you are faced with many no’s before that yes. Also, hiring staff and contracting agents who are motivated with fulfilling your vision. Building relationships and making sure time management practices are effective. I want the world to know: We believe: • In educating our clients about insurance products and services • In appreciating our clients with outstanding service • In working hard to provide the best value for insurance coverages • In providing a comprehensive long-term insurance plan to make sure our clients are properly covered.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Downtown Atlanta to visit the Coca Cola Museum, High Museum of Art, Atlanta, National Center for Civil and Human Rights. We would eat at The Beverly a nice spot for good food, music, and vibes. Slutty Vegan is another place to eat for a good vegan burger. Live music spot is the move to hang out. There are several in Atlanta, like Cafe 290, St. James Live, Apache, and many more.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to my mother! She is my role model of being an entrepreneur with never giving up, always being creative, and having integrity. Every year I read the book “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. It is a great book to change your thought process and understand the importance of focusing on your purpose.
