Meet Teresa Olokosu | Atlanta Luxury Realtor and Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Teresa Olokosu and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Teresa, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I would say that one of the greatest risks I’ve taken at this point in my life is making the decision to become an entrepreneur and pursue a career in real estate full-time. During my undergraduate career, I studied Psychology with a pre-medical intent. I had full intentions of going to medical school and pursing a career in Psychiatric medicine. As I continued on the journey, I came to the conclusion at the latter half of my collegiate career that I no longer wanted to go into the medical field. I did lots of research and soul searching, and came to settle on the idea of a career in real estate after having a conversation with my mother. I went on to complete the course and state exam in order to receive my state license and now I’m here and loving every minute of it. This journey has been scary at times, but I do feel like the risk I took a year ago by starting this journey is going to be well worth it in the end.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a licensed and trusted Realtor in the Atlanta/ Metro- Atlanta market, I am dedicated to being knowledgeable and providing quality resources in order to make your real estate transaction as seamless as possible. I posses strong leadership skills, intuitive listening skills, and a wide array of experience in customer service which allows me to best advocate and negotiate for clients during the transaction. I believe what sets me apart is my ability to relate and form meaningful connections with those I come in contact with daily. I truly pride myself in being of service to others which is why I felt a career in real estate best suited my personality and desire to help the community. My brand is about creating a space for individuals to believe anything is within their reach. I desire to have a platform where learning about real estate is exciting, and doesn’t feel as overwhelming and daunting as it can often be portrayed. I am excited to have the opportunity to aid in the growth of my clients, and create an exclusive experience for those beginning their journey in property ownership.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta is a city that is all about the experiences and vibes. I love a great brunch moment here in the city. Im at any place with some great waffles, french toast, and bottomless mimosas. My friends and I enjoy any chance to dance to some great music, take pictures and videos, and just be in the moment. Some of my favorite popular locations in the city have been Le Colonial, The Hive, Mojave and Pasha. It’s always been a great time when out with a group of friends.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My circle of family and friends have truly been instrumental in this journey. I am so grateful to my support system for always keeping me grounded when I felt like giving up on myself. I would not be where I am today without their constant love, support, and reassurance with every choice I’ve made in growing this business and becoming the person I am today.
