We had the good fortune of connecting with Teresa Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teresa, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
What makes me happy about being a Independent filmmaker is the freedom of creative control. I can touch bases on topics from drug, recovery, murder, relationships, racism, to what I wittiness and see in my Urban neighborhood. It makes me happy to be able to write what’s relatable to others. Enriching someone or making them feel that they are not alone and that they can get through whatever situation that their in, really makes me feel good. I’ve Just completed my Web Series “Kicking In Doors “ A Baltimore Based Crime Series . I’ve completed the very 1st Season which will be Airing in April. My YouTube Web Series “Julian’s Big Mistake” is now playing on my YouTube channel at Teresa Davis.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My passions are writing novels, and filming Movies.. Entertaining people and just making them think is what I love to do. What sets me apart from others is I’m a vivid , colorful Writer, so I’m able to cross that skill over to the screen. My writing allows me to bring my movies to life. Expressing and being able to make people feel as though their in the room as they read is a extra blessing when it comes to making the viewers connect and relate to my films. My films are what you may call pushing the envelope, raw, edgy grit. I film in some of the most sketchiest neighborhoods to get that raw feel. Where most won’t go to get the shot., look for me I’m in the trenches . In not afraid of those topics that may make people feel uncomfortable. If the viewer feels moved then I’ve successfully taken up your time.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In Baltimore City Fells Point is a awesome historical area to visit, from great places to eat, to taking a short boat ride. Baltimore has plenty of Art Museums to enjoy as well. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Successful is never obtained alone, I would like to thank my Teammates Stephen Kelly, Tina Kelly, Roger Griffen, My Co-Producer James Pope, My sponsor Gregory Branch, Myron Higgins, Kimberly Jennings, Anthony Cox, My Sister Shirl , Brother William Hogan ,Brother in law James for all their moral support. My many Cast members who help to make the films a success. Without a Team none of my accomplishments could come to fruition.
