We had the good fortune of connecting with Tempestt(PEASIS) Edwards and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tempestt(PEASIS), what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I chose a creative and artistic path because it was the only way that I felt comfortable expressing myself, and possibly being able to make a living. I wasn’t confident in a lot of abilities but i always had a way with my clothes.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m most proud of remaining true to me through this journey even when it wasn’t working. I don’t stop even when it seems like every option has been exhausted I’ll double back to an original and keep going.

Was it easy: Absolutely not I’m not where I want to be but I’m not where I started. I’m also not where I want or plan to be. Its hard work I have moments of fear and panic because a lot is riding on this working. But something kicks in and this feeling is better than the feeling of never trying this.

Biggest lesson learned is understanding that support is seasonal sometimes but never personal. I’ve also learned that if you change the way you think of you everything will change!

I want the world to know that my LOVE language is LOVE and that I’m doing what I’m doing out of love I definitely want a successful business and life but more than that I want people to truly know that I cared.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would start the week with brunch @ breakfast at Barneys because the food is amazing and its in the heart of the city. We would then venture out to cobb for shopping fun because I love sneakers we would start in Kennesaw at back in the day ATL. The rest of the week we would venture out into all of the local gems that I know maybe hanging out in Douglasville for spoken word and southern comfort food @ blue rose art bistro. Also Gritz in Douglasville for the next morning. Just a few of my favorite places to hang out throughout the week. Oh and we would have to get some YOGA in at KEEP IT MOVING YOGA AND BARRE- Douglasville.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This question is layered because it truly depends on which portion of my life we are discussing. We have the early portion where I would give the credit to my parents and my grandma and my baby sis Brittani who really played a major role in who I am today. Or we can get into my late 20’s which I would dedicate to my daughter (Kyeleigh) who gave me the will to keep going on. Before she was born in 2012 I had been through things that caused me to lose myself and a lot of drive. If we are talking about the here and now then I would have to shout out all of the people who helped me create the magic that I have going on right now and there are so many so to save time I would like to shout out everyone who gave me free info and offered me the skill sets that I needed to become T-Shirt shawty. Oh and I have to shout out Licia my business mentor and best friend who literally supported me when I was risking it all. And everybody else who has supported me from the beginning.
