Meet Telly Lattibeaudiere | Radio Personality/Life Coach/Radio Station Owner/Counselor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Telly Lattibeaudiere and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Telly, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have an online digital media platform. An online radio station to be exact. My thought process behind starting your own business was can I really do this. Of course I’m a strong black woman. My platform looks ok to try something new. I have support why not. There isn’t a station catering to the Caribbean community in America why not. I could feature artists that don’t get any airplay (my husband for example) so many talented artists out here that don’t get any recognition. So let me try and see. And bomb it all came together. I’m also a radio personality so this could work out for me. And here I am.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I love my business because I highlight new Caribbean artists and businesses. I like supporting people that are accomplishing their goals in life. I’m where I am today because of my supporters and team. It was not an easy road. I overcome the challenges by prayer and support. Every time I was told no about something I kept going because someone was going to say yes. And guess what indeed. I’ve learned that researching is the biggest help you can do for yourself. That you can do anything you put your mind to. I was dirt poor to growing daily spiritually, financially, and mentally. I’m a witness that you can overcome anything.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To a crab spot because that is what Baltimore is known for. In the DMV they call us chocolate city. Full of excitement the dancehall and Caribbean scene is very festive daily. Lots of spots to eat at. dancing. Enjoying all types of food from different countries.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So many people I need to shout out. My mother showing me what independence and strength really is. Candy Bee for mentoring me and getting me into radio to start with and for being there from start until now. Prezzy at Hustle Firm radio for telling me I’m going to far stay focused and being very honest even when I wanted to cry. Bobbett for telling me to come to the next station and giving support all the way, and helping with my love life and relationship. Quetie my homie for telling me if I’m being spoiled and won’t reason she knows I’m super stubborn beyond all measures. Huge shoutout to Real Explosion radio for teaching me and giving me the courage to go independent with my own show. I was there for 2 and half years. My cohost and DJ at the time Teddy Kloraxx for also being there and telling I could do it and go all the way. Shoutout to my current DJ Don Cardio for having patience with the transformation from the station to our own platform and still holding strong never saying no instead you say I got you. My whole staff at Chit chat radio 410. My engineer Genius is a god sent I swear he takes care of everything never says I can’t always let me see what I can do. And my management team in Canada Jamrock records publishing Ms. Jacobs. And last but not least my husband Cubanis artist, producer, song writer, engineer just for everything I know I’m difficult but he never folds or gives up on me and appreciate that. And last but not least my besties Vickie and Hadassa just always being there without judging me.
