We had the good fortune of connecting with Teerra Monae and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teerra, how do you think about risk?
Taking risk played a major role in my career, I took a big risk on leaving my job to finish up my own business, It’s always a chance things may not turn out how we expect them to. I risked my source of income to start my business from scratch. Taking risk is taking a chance and understanding the outcome could of left me with no income.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have my very own Professional Cleaning Service. Also black owned and by a woman at that. I’m also a writer I have 3 live books on Amazon and kindle. I have my own cosmetics as well. What sets me aside is the fact without one follower I’m still the leader. I’m more proud of the fact that I accomplished a goal of mine and it led me to set more goals and accomplishments. I got to where I’m at by believing in me and knowing I was more than just a 9 to 5 job. It wasn’t easy but it was well worth it. I’ve learned that everything is on God timing not mine. I want the world to know that whether you get one like, or not… someone somewhere is always watching. So don’t give up on yourself because of who don’t believe in you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my spots are The Painted Pin in BuckHead. Great food, music. Bowling and more fun. I’m always taking my friend to Papadeaux cause I love the food. I’m not a clubbing person I’m more of a foodie I love great music and great food.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my old Boss. Mr. Doyle Irons, He was more of a mentor for me. Father figure and real friend til this very day. He always believed in me and told me how great of a person I was. His genuineness spoke volumes to me. He supported my movement and made me realize how great of a person I am! In a world of people already bringing you down he was one definitely lifting me higher. So for that no matter how far I go in life, I still call him BOSS. My definition of a Boss!!
