We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Page and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve been in the film industry for over 6 years. I’ve been in most of the main departments people get into when they start out, and it took me a long time to figure out where I land. For me, it has brought me to the management side of the industry. I enjoy being around how projects are created and planned out both logistically and creatively. Making content itself, is pretty straight forward for me with my past experience, which is why I decided to take the process into my own hands and start a business. The real challenge now is on the actual business ends of things. Outreach, marketing, networking, finance, the whole nine.

I believe though as the company grows and we get better and better, that we’ll be a worthwhile force in the industry due to all the knowledge and experience I’ve gained along the way. All gains no loss.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As I said before, I’ve been in a lot of other jobs before getting to where I am now. I started off as school photographer, I hopped into video editing for awhile, I worked at a live event center wrapping cables, shot wedding videos for a few years, became a freelance videographer, freelanced in grip/electric, got into the union as a grip, became and an AD and producer, and lastly decided to get the company up and running.

All along the way though I never stopped being curious and motivated about my work. I’ve enjoyed every step and wouldn’t change it for the world.

If you like what you’re doing and you know it, then keep it up.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Down here in Atlanta Little Five Points is great place to start. There’s lots of shops and local businesses that breath life into the area. You’ll notice a wide variety of people who are just looking for the next best thing. The night life goes right along with it. If you’re into clubs and music a lot of warehouse districts are open all night. Most people are going to say check out The Beltline too.

If you want to see some good nature, then you’ll have to drive out of Atlanta for the most part. Atlanta is very much what it is, a city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shout out goes to my other partner in Mystic Cinema, Jordan Stinson. He’s been with me from the start, and we accomplished our first feature together.
