We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Mitchell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
I rely heavily on my thoughts on dreams to inform me on my decisions to either continue or give up. If I find my self still dreaming about a goal or even manifesting it while I’m busy with another task, I know it’s something I should be pursuing. I believe that dreams and goals should consume your mind. That’s what keeps me going. That’s how I know how bad I want it. It all starts with a thought.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve always had a passion for entertainment. Music, TV, film is what kept me busy thought out my childhood. Most of my friends and family grew up wanting to be rappers. I grew up wanted to be their manager. I enjoyed being in the background and assisting artist with their work. The foundation of Koncrete Dreamz is to assist creators with their dreams, removing some of the barriers independent artist deal with. My company, Koncrete Dreamz, offers artist development, marketing and promotions, management and consulting, along with partnerships. My business partner and I learned a lot along the way. The pandemic also didn’t make things any easier, however it did teach us to focus on a sustainable business. I’m excited for what Koncrete Dreamz has in store for the world very soon!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a New Yorker at heart but have recently moved to the Atl. My ideal spots in the city are where can get some good food and drinks while having skyline view of the city. I love walking on the Beltline, especially in the Ponce City Market area. It gives me the closest vibes to a NYC summer night.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family and friends play a major role in the success I’ve seen throughout my career. Many of the opportunities I’ve been fortunate enough to have, come from the relationships I’ve built over the years. A huge shout-out goes to my business partner of over 5 years, Chelsea Barnett! We push each other and inspire on another on a consistent basis. I couldn’t have asked for a better business partner.
