Hi Tawanna, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I believe everyone who is responsible for taxes should have a business. As an accountant and tax strategist, I know that the US operates with two different tax systems, one for the W2 employee and the other for the business owner. The tax system for the W2 employee is structured such that you earn your money, pay taxes, and live off of what’s left. Whereas, the one for the business owner is designed for you to earn your money, use your money for expenses, and pay taxes on what’s left. Not only is the tax benefits what makes business ownership a must, but the reward of having your own does not have a monetary value when you’re doing something you enjoy. This is why business ownership should be sought out at any age. So, be sure to start a business that brings you joy and you would be satisfying even if you never were paid to do it.

Bryant Business Solutions LLC is a national accounting & tax firm that specializes in sustainable Financial Solutions. As a firm, we evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe financial strategies to minimize tax liabilities and audit risk. We also perform cash management and financial projections to help you attain a competitive edge in your industry to improve your NET profits. We do this with 4 main divisions: Accounting Services, Tax Preparation and Planning, Business Consulting & Development, and CFO Services

I must say the journey to where I am in business today was not the easiest because like many others, I tried to go at it alone rather than getting the support to eliminate some of the pitfalls that could have been avoided. You see, I don’t have to touch fire to know it’s hot, but that was exactly what I was doing. Also, not operating in my area of genius and delegate the areas where I am not so saavy. Now, I have a coach, well a couple of coaches…lol. I have also delegate those tasks that either I don’t like doing or not that saavy in and that allows me to focus in my genius.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that I have such a desire to help through education and not beating anyone up for not knowing what they just don’t know. Even if they do know and ready to implement the strategies needed to make a change, I am here to help you “turn your problems into profits”!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of my favorite spots in South Carolina are the Lake Murray dam, it’s nice to just sit and reflect or just think. Hmmm, food, I am such a foodie and a native Charlestonian and my favorite spot right now is Nigel’s Soul Food. However, I can go for any seafood. I don’t hang out much, I am such a homebody, so I can’t really say in that area.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout everyone looking to get started on this entrepreneurial journey the right way, this motivates me! While I am very self motivated, and I mean that in every sense of the word, when I am able to help others attain their goals it really burns a fire in me. And of course I want to shoutout my family! You see, I am right in the middle of an older set of cousins and a younger set, yes a very large family. So, I stay encouraged knowing the older set can be really proud of their “little” cousin and the younger set and other family members can see my light and desire to shine even brighter.
