We had the good fortune of connecting with Tatyana Voltaire and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tatyana, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Since I’m a Influencer/Content creator, I feel like one thing about my industry that outsiders are probably unaware of is…all of the time, hard work, tears, etc. that go into being one. People probably think all you have to do is take a selfie and that’s it, when that’s definitely not the case. It’s way harder than it looks, it’s so much that goes into this industry. For example, editing takes hours wether it’s a YouTube video, Instagram reel, tiktok, picture, etc. Don’t forget you have to record everything, sometimes you have to start over and or reshoot the whole thing because it accidentally got deleted, you didn’t like it, it didn’t get approved by a brand if it was sponsored. Etc. You literally have to learn the social media algorithms front to back, and then they’re always changing so you have to stay on top of that, posting consistently, reaching out to brands for collaborations, answering emails, I could go on & on! But I love it and I’m built for this. So you really have to want this and have a true passion for it because it definitely doesn’t come easy, but I will say it’s worth it in the long run.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a Lifestyle | Fashion | Natural Hair Influencer & Content Creator. I create creative & unique content on my social media platforms, and I also create content for various small & big brands as well. My content ranges from Natural hair style tutorials/product reviews, clothing hauls/product hauls, and Lifestyle content such as vlogs, etc. What sets me apart from others is my drive, passion, and how hard I can go for the things/people I love, I always put my all into everything I do and it shows. I’m most proud of how over the past few months I’ve had people tell me how much they love my energy, content, work. How more brands have reached out to me to collaborate with me because they see my consistency & potential and love it. How people tell me I’m their motivation, when I think people aren’t even paying attention to me. I got where I am today (I’m still growing) but I would say consistency is definitely key and doing lots of research. No, it wasn’t easy but I feel like great things take time and if it’s something you really want you’ll do whatever it takes to get it. I overcame the challenges by building a genuine loving community with other people in my niches doing the same thing as me, we all are always hyping & lifting each other up so that keeps me balanced and my mental health great, also taking breaks when needed are very important for me as well as in general because it all can be alot sometimes. My lessons that I have learned along the way are know your worth, support who supports you always, have fun, keep a healthy work and life balance (don’t overwork yourself), networking helps so don’t be afraid to reach out to people, ask for help if you need it, be your true authentic self, no negativity against me shall prosper, and believe in yourself because if you don’t nobody will. I want the world to know that I’m not done, I’m just getting started…remember the name Tatyana Alexandria.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I’m from Louisiana, down south so lots of good soul food, Cajun food, & daiquiris. It’s so many great places to choose from but a few I would definitely suggest are our aquarium, down town area has the best night life like casinos, bars, clubs, good eats. Speaking of good eats … Orlandeaux’s cafe, Missing link, Pop N Pizza, Abby’s Singers Bistro, RNL’s Cookery Corner, Up for brunch cafe, Etc. Activities: Painting with a twist, Bayou Axe Throwing Co., Escape rooms, Louisiana Boardwalk, Surge Entertainment, Etc. Night life: Uptown bar lounge & Hookah district, Etc. All of these places I’ve mentioned are so fun, have great food, & are filled with great vibes, definitely stop by a few when you’re in town you won’t regret it!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a very big special shoutout to my friends Kenya, Essenes, & Laterria!! They have been so supportive, kind, motivational, helpful, encouraging, sweet, all of the above when it comes to my journey and I love them so much, they’re what keeps me going with all of this and I’m forever grateful for them.
