Meet Tamra Swygart | Chef

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamra Swygart and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tamra, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business was designed to let women know they can fulfill passion and establish a career job at the same time. I encourage people to establish work life balance that allows them to grow their business with purpose. I create meals that are soulful, tasty, affordable and healthy for my community. We are living in a world of opportunities my business was established on the foundation of opportunity and faith. I hope the world take my advice to prosper in life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m currently an Assistant Center Operations Director. I also own a catering company called Rama’s Kitchen. My brand is supported behind the fact that you can accomplish all of your dreams. I have found away to fulfill my purpose in life in both healthcare and hospitality. Monday – Friday I dedicate my time to improving operations in the healthcare community. On weekends I dedicate my time towards providing catering services to enhance events such as birthday parties, brunch gatherings , weddings etc. My life is busy but yet organized. I’ve learned to live is outstanding but to live while accomplishing your goals is unmatched.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My bestfriend and I are both foodies. A foodie is a person that surrounds their life around food. As a chef, I love to experience new foods and most importantly allow someone to prepare food for myself. Atlanta is the heart of brunch and soul food. I don’t have a particular favorite spot at this time. But I know it’s so many great places to eat at around here. I’m not a fan of hookah but I do love a great daiquiri. Slush ATL would be a great spot ! Other than food we would for sure check out a baseball game, go to a hip hop or Caribbean bar and go see some art.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout goes to my number one supporter my husband Adron Swygart. My husband has been encouraging me from the very moment we met. He’s really my partner , my friend and my business mentor. I’ve never been one to take risk but he’s always coming up with new business adventures allowing us to establish generational wealth.
