We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamia Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tamia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Helping people was always the goal. I’ve always been good with people since a child. As social media grew from my hobby, I was able to see that people needed assistance with what I do for fun! Now, I’m able to fulfill my career goal, to be of help while having fun. It’s truly a blessing.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m most proud of the people I’ve been able to inspire and reach. The only reason why I’m here today is because I never gave up or caved when nobody could see my vision. Until you understand the vision that God blessed you with is only for you, and no one else progress can be made. Was this an easy concept to understand? Absolutely not. You want approval from loved ones, those you’re inspired by, so and and so forth. However, what is for you is for you. The end goal won’t make sense until it’s all said and done. Cliche, but trust the process in its entirety. Clark Media wasn’t birthed from a ton of experience.. she was birthed from a concept of “Why Not Me”. With that mindset, I’ve gained clients I thought were above my pay grade. Event invites from the “who’s who’s” which I thought I had to “be someone” or look a certain way to be invited to. So and so forth. What I’m trying to say is, you will go as far as you believe. Remaining authentic is what got me where I am today. If I don’t know, I ask. If I I’m knowledgeable, I speak up. If it’s funny, I laugh! If there’s an issue, I find a solution. Be you 100% and everything will come into fruition how it should.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta is so beautiful, we’d have some running around to do for sure, haha. For breakfast, we’d probably go to Aye Tea Elle for their crab lump cakes or shrimp and grits or Flying Biscuit in Sandy Springs for a prickly pear mimosa! There’s nothing on the menu that isn’t flawless at both locations.

For lunch, we’d cruise to Sebastian’s on Juniper St. for happy hour! Their paella is to die for and they have such cool decor. Their drinks are fabulous and they have a speakeasy downstairs. If not Sebastian’s, I’d go with the old faithful of American Deli on the West End baby! 10 piece, mild lemon pepper, extra wet, crispy fries!

Dinner, we’d head over to the east side of Atlanta in Decatur to No.246 for the best authentic Italian dining. Everything there is literally perfect. Pasta, pizza, cocktails, bubbles, you name it.

To hang out, of course we’d cruise the beltline, stop at Krog St. Market or Ponce City Market. That’s my favorite area of the city to grab a snack, or party haha.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to dedicate the shoutout to a couple of special humans in my life. First, God. Thank you for creating me and allowing abundance and divine protection to run from heaven to earth. Secondly, I’d like to thank my parents for always standing beside me no matter what I do. Whatever I choose, they’re always supportive 1000%. My parents have truly raised me to know that nothing is off limits to me, whatever that may be. Lastly, I want to shoutout my cousin Tai and little sister Leilani for always being my pocket of sunshine, quite literally. Thank you girls for the beautiful gift of perspective for not only seeing myself but how I see the world. Love you all beyond this lifetime and thank you for loving me unconditionally.
