At 17, while working at Wendy’s, my main goal was simple I just wanted extra money for clothes and shoes. But once I got a taste of making my own money, something clicked. The idea of relying on my own two hands, rather than waiting for a paycheck, gave me a sense of control and independence that I never wanted to let go of.

That experience turned me up a notch. I realized that if I could work hard for someone else, I could work even harder for myself. I started thinking beyond just making extra cash I wanted financial freedom, flexibility, and the ability to build something of my own. That mindset pushed me to take the leap into entrepreneurship.

Starting my own business wasn’t just about money; it was about proving to myself that I could create opportunities instead of waiting for them. Now, every step I take is about growth, not just in business, but in life.

My Career Journey & What Sets Me Apart

I am a dedicated lash artist who takes pride in enhancing beauty and confidence through my work. What sets me apart is my versatility I offer lash sets that cater to both natural and dramatic styles, ensuring that every client leaves feeling their absolute best. I also provide early morning appointments as early as 6:00 a.m. at no additional cost, making it easier for busy clients to fit self-care into their schedules. Plus, my VIP membership rewards loyal clients with exclusive discounts and perks, adding extra value to their experience.

One of the things I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come. I started my journey as a 17-year-old working at Wendy’s, just wanting extra money for clothes and shoes. But once I realized the power of making my own money with my own two hands, I wanted more. That hunger for independence led me to entrepreneurship, and I haven’t looked back since.

Getting to where I am today professionally was not easy. Building a business takes discipline, consistency, and resilience. There were times when I doubted myself, slow seasons that tested my patience, and moments when I had to push through exhaustion. But I overcame those challenges by staying focused on my goals and remembering my why I want financial freedom, a successful business, and a life where I can travel the world while building generational wealth.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that success doesn’t happen overnight. You have to put in the work, stay consistent, and believe in yourself even when no one else does. I also learned the importance of branding and marketing creating Instagram Reels and promoting my business everywhere I go has helped me grow my clientele.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I am not just a lash tech I am a visionary entrepreneur who is dedicated to making every client feel fly and confident. My slogan says it all: “A fly lady should always flaunt her fly lashes.” My business is more than just lashes; it’s about self-care, confidence, and creating an experience that keeps clients coming back. And trust me, this is just the beginning!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting, I’d make sure they had the best time ever good food, good vibes, and unforgettable experiences! Here’s how our week would go:

Day 1: Arrival & Chill Vibes
• Lunch: Kick things off with a comforting bowl of pho because nothing hits like a warm, flavorful bowl of noodles to start the trip right.
• Relax & Catch Up: Spend the afternoon unwinding, maybe with a little self-care—lashes, nails, or a spa visit.
• Dinner: Head to The Cheesecake Factory for a delicious meal and, of course, a slice of cheesecake to top it off.

Day 2: Shopping & R&B Vibes
• Morning: Start with brunch at a cute spot with mimosas.
• Afternoon: Hit the mall or boutiques for a shopping spree because looking good is a must!
• Night: Dress up and head to an R&B lounge for a night of good music, drinks, and a whole vibe.

Day 3: Adventure & Sightseeing
• Morning: Try something fun like zip-lining.
• Afternoon: Explore a cool museum, art exhibit, or a scenic park for cute pictures.
• Night: Go out for a fancy dinnermaybe a steakhouse or seafood spot for a luxury vibe.

Day 4: Foodie Day
• Brunch: Try a trendy brunch spot with the best chicken & waffles.
• Afternoon: Visit a food hall or market to try different small bites.
• Dinner: End the night at a rooftop restaurant with city views.

Day 5: Fun & Games
• Afternoon: Do something interactive like bowling, an arcade, escape room, or TopGolf for some friendly competition.
• Night: Hit up a karaoke lounge or hookah bar to turn up a little.

Day 6: Relax & Reflect
• Morning: A slow morning with coffee, journaling, or a light workout.
• Afternoon: A spa day or massage to unwind.
• Night: Chill dinner at a cozy restaurant and reflect on all the fun we had.

Day 7: Departure Brunch
• Brunch: One last meal at a cute café before heading to the airport.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
If I had to dedicate my shoutout to anyone, it would be my mother and father. Their love, support, and wisdom have shaped me into the person I am today.

My father always told me, “The sky is the limit,” and that phrase stuck with me, especially during my time at the unsinkable Albany State University. Every morning, he would send me motivational text messages, reminding me to stay true to myself. One morning, he sent, “BE YOU… the world will adjust.” That message hit so hard that the very next day, I got it tattooed as a permanent reminder.

As for my mother, she raised me like her little Barbie doll always making sure I had the cutest Tommy Hilfiger outfits and sparing no expense, even spending thousands on my prom. That alone instilled in me the understanding that I needed to make a substantial amount of money as an adult to maintain the lifestyle I was accustomed to.

Their influence, both in mindset and lifestyle, has been a driving force in my journey. I owe so much of my ambition and success to them!
