We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamara Tisdale and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tamara, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Identifying boundaries, knowing how or when to set them. Masking daily struggles with confidence all while battling generational traumas that were deeply suppressed. The lack of unconditional love to self and not truly understanding how to adequately give others the love they truly needed. Constantly faced with the frequent frustrations of the push-pull in relation, situation and friendships kept me bound, which lead to countless years of me trying to escape the negative, unhealthy and toxic views brought on by self and others. Lack of self-worth and self-esteem pulled me in the direction of unthinkable and unimaginable situations. Lost and confused I lacked courage and the strength to break the patterns and cycles of abuse and addictions.

Big FACTS!! “Until you learn the lesson(s) they WILL be repeated”… A little over a year in Georgia, 30 at the time, a single mother from Upstate NY is the first time I started to see that old habits, unhealed wounds and toxic triggers die so hard if at all… From one abusive situation to another life became too real. Forgetting about the joys and passions I once had, my life had become one train reck after another. The poor choices, the associations, the victim mentally, with a side of negative and bitter traits. Endless excuses, chasing destinations, titles, money, pouring into the empty cups of others, forever finding myself entangled with the needy and codependent. Nursing the scars of others all while blowing on my own, It makes so much sense why I stayed feeling depressed, stressed and depleted. Truth.. I had mastered hiding behind my smile until it became a struggle to even do that.

“God often uses our deepest pain to launch our greatest calling.” Not quite sure who wrote this quote, but probably the realist words I’ve read to date. Countless tears and sleepless nights… This “Wounded Healer” has been through some things…

Growth is when your able to find the beauty in your brokenness, when your able to take the lemons and make lemonade, its learning to dance in the rain. Growth is picking up every brick that was sent or meant to destroy you and one brick at a time you create a bigger, stronger a more structured and solid foundation. It’s restoring, rebuilding and rebranding what’s been in you the entire time… your EMPIRE.

Now 39, with the strength of the Lord, I’m able to discern, fight off fears, doubt and unrealistic expectation. Doing the inner and outer work, dissecting and unveiling the layers of my life has lead me to the creative and vibrant inner child in me that has been waiting to come out.

My path… My journey… My story…. Has landed me exactly where I needed to be. A daughter, a sister, a mother, and now entrepreneur of two businesses, I’ve changed lanes and finding my own path.

Dropping jewels, knowledge and wisdom isn’t new for me…. from darkness to light and unlearning life as I knew it ultimately lead me to my calling of becoming a Certified Life Coach. My mentoring business CHRONICLE kənˈfeSHən was established to help restore, motivate and inspire women who are in need of guidance and support with for their way. CHRONICLE isn’t just a pathway of healing for others, it has been influential for my personal growth and development as well.

päSH bōō’tēk reestablished in 2020 is an online boutique. My company’s innovative, unique and dope trendz are created for those who dare to leap, do, see, and live… Having always been the creative and think out the box type, it didn’t come as a surprised to my family when I launched a store with custom jackets, tee’s, gift baskets and accessories.

This is me… Unfiltered, unboxed and unmasked. The L’s turned into lessons and now seeing the blessing in it all I am truly walking in Faith. Now suited and booted in this war with Christ, I’m CUSTOMizing “My Story” one piece, and one conversation at a time.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I discussed this in the first section, if you need me to elaborate just let me know.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a big little kid… A day in the life of Tamara would land us at an amusement park or an arcade. For those who don’t know, I am the queen of air hockey, and with ski ball or NBA hoops present a friendly completion is always on the table. My personality is very laid back, so I’m always down to hit up a nice chill lounge, make a reservation to one of the many dope new restaurants around town, you might even catch me in a stadium, or a comedy club.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would definitely have to shoutout my biggest supporters ever… my parents.

I spent so many years trying to work my way through this maze we call life. So many time their spoken words went unheard… those prayers though… I promise you, it was their prayers pulled me through.
